It's a phenomenon in Mexico. It's already the 3rd biggest movie of all time, behind No Way Home and Endgame :deadbanana4:

Based on the pacing of the first film, this is definitely possible if they keep the same writers :skull:

I finally got to watch the movie yesterday. The scene where Tanooki Mario hugged Luigi was my favorite.

I would love #2 to be Super Mario Galaxy themed. Luigi's Mansion could be its own whole separate movie.

IA, plus Furukawa has already said more films are on the way so I'd have to imagine spin-offs would be included. Even Paramount is getting a jump start on Sonic spin-offs and those films didn't do half as much as Mario.

Disney's last $1 billion dollar grossing animated movie was Toy Story 4 in 2019 :oh:

Don't worry! Toy Story 5, Frozen 3 and Zootopia 2 are coming!

Anyway, they better announce that sequel starring Legend Yoshi now

The fact that I couldn’t bring myself to finish this :rip:. Maybe I’ll give it another try.

I'm shocked people didn't think it was going to hit 1$ Bil, so many of us grew up with Mario - the movie appealed to everyone in the end. It was nice seeing a childhood icon on stage and I hope Nintendo does more with its franchises such as cartoons and more movies. I need a Zelda live action movie and Warioware Cartoon now!

Nice! I went to see it with a family member, expecting absolutely nothing from it, but it was actually pretty good!
