I'm quite surprised with "Bad Day", but it's a great song, didn't expect it above WBT or Irreplaceable tho. "Hanging By a Moment" deserves more flowers ugh.
Beyle Street Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 OTR is shocking to me. That should be doing 700k at the very least

It feels like one of the most known songs Elton John only performed CITW 97 once in person, at Princess Diana's funeral. Unless Prince William &/or Harry ask John to sing CITW 97 again we won't hear it again. Some had hoped he would sing it at a number of PDs remembrance events but he didn't do it.

For this song is Old town road (remix).

See Happy, see Uptown Funk, see how Shake it off makes right now worst streams than Blank Space or Wildest Dreams and Style. Can't stop the feeling also makes "only" 479K streams right now. I think people still remember them and they are really popular and everything, but they just come back to them less. Edited April 29, 2023 by vale9001

But Blinding Lights is definitely an exception to the over produced trend. BLs video views never approached UF or SIO clips but its ODS streams are thru the roof.

And even then, Uptown Funk didn't age that bad. It is still in the Top 50 of YouTube after 8+ years (soon to reach 5 billion streams on there), and if it ever gets certified, would be the highest certified song ever. Even though it is lagging behind on Spotify, it still had over 900k daily streams as recently as 12/31/2021, more than 7 years after release. UF isn't forgotten, like Happy or In My Feelings.

The Black eyed peas terrible music from 2008- 2010 year i see is really forgotten. Gaga great cults should be #1, they stolen it. But at the same time it's a good sign of how terrible most of pop music was at the time, so makes sense i guess. Happy is as hated as it is loved, a lot of people say openly they hate it too lol.
Miley Cyrus Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 Angels Like You outstreaming Payola Lights The bigger hit of 2020 won
Miley Cyrus Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 Is boom boom pow supposed to be 2009? if so PITUSA outstreamed

Lol I actually messaged Mark Ronson's Facebook page about updating UFs RIAA Certs hoping someone would read it & take note. UF is the most consumed song in the US from the digital era & is at least 2X Diamond/20X Platinum. But no 1 wrote back. I'll try email next to see if that works.

Poker Face and Just Dance did sell more than Boom Boom Pow despite it getting blocked, and globally Poker Face was much bigger. IGF outsold PF only in the US/UK/Canada.
