discussion Bi and "str8" guys are flooding gay dating apps. Thoughts?

So have yall noticed that the number of bi and str8 men on Grindr, Romeo and other gay dating apps has exploded?

 

Bi guys especially seem like they make up about 50% of all profiles now while like only 5 or 10 years before you would find one bi guy in maybe 100 profiles. 

 

The "str8" guys usually only search for trans girls and fem gays.

Why is this? Is it coz being LGBT is way more accpeted now so a lot of the bi guys that were in hiding and were only dating girls now dare to date and have sex with men?

 

Or is it coz for most guys to get a woman has become very hard so out of sexual frustration they are also willing to approach men (the prison effect)?

 

Any other thoughts?

I mean I think it depends on where you are. I still feel like I see mostly gays.

 

Due to the nature of the app that shall not be named, I think it's more inclined to get people just looking for something quick, i.e. a straight guy looking for a trans girl to hook up with. If you want gays pursuing a relationship with a man, Tinder seems more like the place where they are congregated.

You’d think a generation of gays who grew up mostly insisting they were straight because it wasn’t ok at the time would understand this better. Sure they say they’re straight. I did too at some point lol.

The guys saying they're bi on grindr are not bi. I know all the gays in my city and the str8 looking ones put that they're bi on grindr so it makes them more desirable.
