NRO is a song from 2019, Smile is factually the least successful album out of the three, by far.

Quick little peaks on Billboard won't never tell the whole story, longevity is the key. Debuting at #3 did nothing for Stupid Love, it still end up being a bomb worldwide with less streams than Angels Like You and even Harleys in Hawaii. 

 

As for the album, Gaga had healthy pure sales thanks to her loyal fanbase, which is nice, but Plastic Hearts still outstreamed Chromatica and has more certifications around the globe. Looking at their current stats, the gap is only getting wider.

Because we just can't discard the fact that her brand new album carried by Flowers is performing bad, especially when that gives you a better perspective on her current status?

It's not like the album was created to be successful... They didn't even know Flowers was going to be a hit. The album doesn't have a hit sound or gp sound at all so it's not surprising.

Plastic Hearts already had a better performance than Chromatica and Flowers is miles bigger than anything Gaga had going on during her last release, regardless of the chart performance of ESV. I wouldn't call Chromatica a flop, but it's not like it was a smash era either.

 

It can all change with Gaga's next album release if she surprises us, but Miley is factually doing better in music this year.

Midnight Sky, Prisoner and Angels Like You were bigger than any gaga song that year sans that Ariana gimmick collab that no one listens to anymore

And Plastic Hearts ended up being the bigger album despite what peaks may have you believe

Again, I'm really not targeting Miley 'cause I'm a big fan and think she's amazing. Miley is doing better obviously right now because Gaga's last era happened 3 years ago, I still think her current overall position in music is stronger than Miley's and a new album of hers would perform better than ESV - and that's what I was saying with my initial post. That doesn't take anything away from Miley, I'm just answering the question in the OP

Plastic hearts is IMPECCABLE... and in streaming era these days,m goo dmusic speaks for itself - the fact it has grown has stability AND outstreaming ESV without flowers says everything.
