The Fame Monster is one of the most iconic album covers of its decade. The rest are very avant garde, but quite tacky imo 

 

ok wait BTW is also iconic and may actually be my favorite. But objectively- TFM is best.

I'm biased about everything BTW related so  

 

But BTW, TFM and Chromatica are probably my top 3. TF is also an excellent and iconic cover for a debut album. Love all of them to varying degrees though

Overall I'm going to say Chromatica, and people acting like it's not good are just being dumb. It's a brilliant, creative cover in a time when covers have become very generic and boring.

 

But my top three in no order:

The Fame Monster for its instant recognizability.

BTW motorcycle for its daring, balls-to-the-wall, ridiculous concept.

Chromatica for its creativity.

Born This Way (standard) - yes it’s ridiculous. That whole album is a nod to the 80’s and power ballad synth overdrive and it fits it perfectly.

Chromatica is objectively her best album cover and any other opinion is nostalgia driven
