Yeah I’m not celebrating, someone this cockroach ALWAYS manages to come back :dancehall: it’s gonna be hard for him this time but I’m sure he’ll find a way to crawl back onto every radio station and mall

He's probably penning 829361210219 signed CDs as we are speaking

Boat is such a beautiful song, but I think Ed's a little saturated right now so there's definitely fatigue.

I still hope this album becomes a huge success. He will probably go back to the poppy sound if this album doesn't do well. Please be a success, I want the classic Ed ballads!!! As much as I love Shivers and Bad Habits, it's not really Ed's particular sound.

I'm pretty sure Eyes Closed is his main focus

Wait, this idea :jonny5: Camila is desperate enough to collaborate with any big artist and Morgan will probably want to help his racist fellow out, we need it to happen so the curse can pass onto him too :duca:

My thoughts exactly

Ed and Lewis are in the same boat.... their public interest is dying.. and they want the press of #1's to boost their image so the only way they are achieving #1's now are through physical signed CD's despite not being #1 on any streaming or sales platform.

MTE. Radio spins the same 10 males usually. He will find a way to come back unfortunately.

If Aaron can't produce a hit song for Taylor, what made Ed think he had a chance? I don't know why artists keep going to him expecting anything more than a relatively well received song that won't do anything on the charts.

Tbf Cardigan has been seeing a revival. It will be over 1B next year. I feel like it can possibly become her " Lovely".

Also August will be a classic every august.

Not Camila being the hit maker in the end actually djdkdjdh good for her :clap3:

August is produced by Jack Antonoff

It's so weird, especially when it looked like he had a huge following during his previous eras. I would've understood if he was like Bruno, starting slow and debuting with average numbers, but it wasn't the case for him. So I wonder what happened? :rip:

Boat is a beautiful song.  It doesn't have any beats, or pop aspirations attached to it.  This song and Eyes Closed are songs that deal with depression and grief.  I don't think Ed was expecting them to be huge on the charts.

What the hell happened with his fans? These songs aren't even that indie sounding

Anti-Hero is on the topic of depression and it smashed.

Play the songs side by side,  one is mainly guitar strumming, and the other has nice synth beats and shimmering production.   One is clearly aimed at the pop radio, the other is not.
