Karma was always going to be the single after Lavender Haze because it tested third best with radio audiences when the album was released. They shot the music video literally at the same time that the news of their breakup leaked, and a music video shoot takes at least a month (and often longer) to organise, so no, her choice in single is completely unrelated to the news. 

 

As for your misogynistic little quip at the end, why does that have any relevance? Aside from the fact that they'd been together for 6 and a half years, why do you feel the need to comment on Taylor's supposed lack of ability to "keep a guy"? Is the ability to "keep a guy" all she's good for? Is that all that matters about her? I thought society had collectively gotten over most of the casual misogyny. Not you, I guess.
