The only thing her fans use is streams when they aren't even impressive lmao and get her no where. Imagine trying to brag about streams that can't even get you to break the BB Top 100 :rip: They have nothing else to talk about and it's embarrassing lmao

Yeah, she has to be the most overrated "pop icon" on here.
Though I do enjoy her early hits.

Will you still bring up Spotify*? Aguilera era did better than Love Sux, for example, on YouTube.

*it's not even the biggest streaming platform in the US.

feel free to add the the numbers to the Spotify numbers then.

and btw Love Sux peaked at #12 on US Apple Music, did AGUILERA even enter the top 100?

They all made similar Pop rock music and P!nk was seen as the Anti-Britney as well :rip:

Top 40 (La Fuerza) on US Apple Music, if Aguilera had been released in one part, it might have debuted in the top ten.

on what planet does Let Go sound anything remotely like Missundaztood and Thankful? :rip:

Let Go borrows from country, grunge, pop punk and alternative rock while Missundaztood is basically an R&B-infused teen pop album with more pronounced guitars :skull:

Missundaztood is not R&B and what Christina album sounds like Avril that they are more comparable? :rip:

Obviously I was talking about Breakaway.

Mess at Let Go "borrowing from country" :toofunny3:

Only a European would believe this :skull:

I mean you can always tell whose fave has had a lackluster career when they go after the lowest common denominator (Christina Aguilera).

It's especially strange when I don't think X has even acknowledged A's existence (I could be wrong).

It's never those who Avril directly competed with like P!nk or Kelly Clarkson or even who she was compared to in the media more (Britney Spears) or even the girls that debuted after, because let's be honest, everyone has surpassed her (even Ariana and Miley)

Just my additional two cents:giraffe:

Embarrassingly, when Christina was forced into reality TV thanks to her career bombing into oblivion, she had to acknowledge Avril when the winner of a The Voice sang with Avril in the finale as Avril was her main influence on her music. So while Xtina worked in reality TV, she watched Avril be an influential pop star for the winning contestant of the reality show that Xtina now worked on full time. So embarrassing for her. Humiliating. Jesus Christ. I felt sorry for her that day. Tragic.

It’s so funny when stans start using the “acclaim” card when nobody is even consuming their music despite all those “Grammys” :deadbanana4:

R&B-induced. What would you classify Family Portrait as then?

I never said their music had to sound similar for them to be peers :rip: Kelly and P!nk are Avril’s peers, as are all the late 90s-early 2000s TRL girls.

It just doesn’t make any sense to put those 3 in a special box based off nonsensical criteria, especially when Kelly and P!nk had way more in common with each other (believe it or not, down to the amount of support they got from radio lol) than with Avril.

By the time Kelly dropped Breakaway, Avril had already dropped a grunge / alternative rock / nu metal album that had even less in common with Breakaway :rip:

Complicated’s country influences are  a bit obvious, but if you can’t hear them, let this random country band enlighten you:

You can make a country version of literally any song, there is nothing "country" about Complicated.

They claim that the lyrics and form could mean it's similar to country, but it's a pop song. Sorry there's still no country influence sonically:rip:

Following the trend, thought these two could make a good discussion

How is it a good discussion when Avril outsold and outstreamed?

Avril and it's not even close.

Let Go alone is bigger than Xtina's entire career.

that’s the textbook definition of “influence” :rip: and surprise surprise, guess who started in country music.

You literally claimed it "borrowed from country" because you have zero clue about country music and probably thought the opening "sounds country".
Face it hun, there's nothing "country" about anything in her career. And her "starting in country music" is irrelevant when her entire career has pretty much been pop/pop rock.

Moves Like Jagger - 1,066,848,489

Say Something - 946,158,909

Avril could only dream of pulling these numbers. :deadbanana4::deadbanana4:

Looks to me like Maroon 5 is the reason Moves Like Jagger has 1b streams based on their recurrents

 Nice try.

Where did I claim it was sonically?

But if you don’t hear any country influences in the melody and the lyrics, fine. Your fave did when she made The Way I Loved You 😉

Germany #80 in 2022? And which song is that supposed to be exactly? She didn't have a single charting in Germany since 2013 :rip:

LMAO I just looked it up. Not Xtina fans trying to make people believe she could chart with a Spanish song on the Official German charts in 2022 when it was just the download charts :dies:
