Poland snaps back at France. Alliance With US 'Absolute Foundation' Of Euro Security

Following Macrons comments about the China and Europe. Read the part 1 here:

Quote

The alliance with the United States is "an absolute foundation" of European security, Poland's prime minister said on Tuesday, after controversial remarks by French President Emmanuel Macron about ties with the US and China.

Mateusz Morawiecki, speaking before boarding a plane to begin a US visit, said his country's EU presidency in 2025 would make the partnership with Washington its "main priority".

"The alliance with the United States is an absolute foundation of our security which is based on two pillars: economic cooperation and in the field of defence," said Morawiecki, whose US visit will include talks with US Vice President Kamala Harris.

"Some Western leaders dream of cooperation with everyone, with Russia and with some powers in the Far East," he added, without naming those leaders.

The comments, however, followed controversy sparked by Macron who, fresh from a visit to China, said Europe must not be a "follower" of either Washington or Beijing on Taiwan.

The French leader said in an interview with media including France's business daily Les Echos and Politico that Europe risks entanglement in "crises that aren't ours" and should "depend less on the Americans" in matters of defence.

But the head of the nationalist and populist government in Warsaw said on Tuesday he hoped to "strengthen" ties with Washington by approving and "extending" contracts on defence equipment.

He said he would also discuss cooperation with the US on energy and nuclear power, with Poland planning to have its first nuclear plant built by US firm Westinghouse.

I am more & more losing my cool with some of y'all anti America sentiments when the real threats Russia and China are more of a threat than ever.

And I take America over Nazi Russia or Commie dictatorship China any day of the week.

More like Biden. It's the Democrats that are constantly warmongering against Russia.

You're going to come to the dark realisation that America is profiting off this war just as much as China is and it's in neither of their interest for it to stop any time soon. Now what!

Not just that. Putin stated that Ukraine doesn't exist. Ukranians don't exist and that Ukraine has no right to exist, but hey, that's just America's fault, I guess.

“But b-but NATO is a threat!!!” they said :rip:

Poland’s govt is NOT good, but he spoke facts about the US alliance.  It is beyond stupid to adopt strategic ambiguity over Taiwan and China while full-stop supporting Ukraine.  Macron is an idiot.

Putin's speech when the war in Ukraine started was enough. I am native to a country that Russia destabilizes for more a decade, activly destabilizes. And China is fully supporting all of it.

But hey, some of you truly prefer feudalism and communism. I just wonder why y'all never move there?

Makes sense.  Poland understands what it is like to be existentially threatened with violence by an imperial neighbor.  France could benefit from having some "fraternité"

On Russia's national television it's openly talked about how Poland needs to be conquered and with no holding back. In a poll in Russia, 97% of all who participated answered that Russia should invade Poland next.

But hey, some on here got really brave defending Russia and his allies.

Russia is amazing and America is evil.

I am sure you are on top of everything going on with your ''cOmUnISm bAd!!1! :isudumblmao:" rethoric. Even if some of Russia's and China's actions are reprehensible (I am not denying they are), they still don't come close to the harm and terror the US has brought upon multiple nations and countries during its history, there's just no comparison really. You can choose to remain in your western bubble and keep drinking that American approved propaganda kool-aid if you so wish, just don't try to pretend you are doing so in good faith when you clearly don't want to make the effort to learn all the facts.

Why? Poland has known more peace the last 25 years since joining NATO, where as other European nation invaded them and put them through absolute hell by enslaving them, torturing them, throwing them under the bus, and committing the worst genocide in human history on their soil…

And then rewarded them by enslaving them to the USSR for nearly half a century.

France is welcome to go cozy up with a nation that throws its citizens in concentration camps, but history has shown: it doesn’t work out well :cm:

Historically: Russia and China have committed some of the worst genocides known to man against their own people :rip:open a history book

You have no idea who you are talking to, just to get that out of the way.

And we are talking here about an actual and current issue that is an invasion of a country that according to Russsia has no right exist. Let that sink in. NO RIGHT TO EXIST.

Just say you approve genocide and Russia moving on with invasions of other countries and leave it at that. Because they won't stop in Ukraine.

This website seems to forget that whole WW2 thing and then 50 year enslavement by the USSR. Which nation took the brunt of being thrown to the wolves the worst in both situations? It would be Poland

Russia and China have had violent histories through different regiemes : from the Taiping rebellion to the various pogroms conducted by the Tsars.

It says more about the nation than the ideology.

Russia is a mess, but China is more stable and prosperous under the CCP than any dynasty for over 500 years and certainly the Nationalists.

They’re so stable that they jail anybody who dares to dissent against the regime, then unleashes a plague on the entire world!

Stable countries with concentration camps, I’ve heard it all

The Russia d*ckriders in here trying to finger point at American imperialism to distract from the fact that Russia is one of (if not thee) worst imperialist nation out there.

Reminder that Poland is an “evangelical fundamentalist” state as a direct response to Russian imperialism and enforced communism. Which, btw, happened after the West tried to be nice and appease the Soviets :skull: If anyone knows the value of being allied with the West, it’s Poland. Please. :skull:
