Fans swarming under Billboard’s tweets saying **** like why does radio weigh more than sales in 2023 because “who listens to radio nowadays?” casually ignoring streaming in their tweets. They should also ask themselves who buys music anyway lol

That Jimin song is nowhere to be seen on Spotify so why don’t they worry about that instead?

right. at least radio is actual consumption not just a random mp3 saved somewhere :rip:

So without a new smash that Morgan song will stay atop for a while.

SZA’s massive hit getting blocked in its (likely) last chance to hit #1 by a proven racist…  probably the worst chart result I’ve ever seen

To me, BaL is more stagnant than anything. It is still in the Top 10. If you want to see 'came and went', just look at Like Crazy and Unholy:

Unholy only dropped to #11, because Taylor owned the entire top 10, it's even mentioned in that post. It literally spent 22 weeks in the top 10 overall. It certainly didn't "came and went" :rip:

After it went to #1 (in its 4th week), Unholy was fighting for the 10/11 spot most weeks, with radio being the metric that kept it afloat. Once radio dropped it, Unholy went into the tank. Some of its contemporaries, like DFY and Anti-Hero, are still in the Top 10.

BaL is holding up better than Unholy, at least at this point in the run, and it still has some room to grow on radio.

I actively dislike Unholy, but this is not an accurate characterization of its chart run :rip: It went back to #2 after the Christmas flood ended, got 6 more consecutive weeks in the Top 5 after that, and then stayed in the Top 10 until the Morgan bomb. It's currently #23 on the Hot 100 in its 27th week, which is three spots higher than where it is on overall radio right now.

Like yeah, it didn't have extremely strong longevity like some other Top 10 hits have had, but it's definitely not a song that "came and went".

but atrl told me that calm down flopped so hard.. what happened :)

atrl likes screaming "flops" but sometimes too early and unnecessary.

Seems like the radio numbers weren't impacted by the recalibration at all, Kill Bill's sales were just too weak (only 6k) :rip:

They were. Flowers was originally predicted to have 106m radio audience before the radio recalibration and ended up doing 102m instead. Kill Bill’s radio was probably reduced to 94-95m instead of the original 98m :rip:

i know right, i guess she really only needed 11-12k sales total💀 the buying party happened too late

Well, LN is a bop, ngl. The fact the song is such a stable smash is very very impressive.

Super happy for Rema and Selena, the song is on firee rightfully. :clap3:

calm down is a year late to the party. charts suck.

You are trolling about Unholy. :rip:

Unholy dropped because 10 Taylor songs debuted in the top 10 :skull:

Eh, Flowers has been dropping for some time now on the radio, so I think these numbers are likely accurate. I wish they gave us more insights on other songs' airplay numbers (especially Kill Bill), but since they didn't it's hard to say :rip:

Flowers did not decline in audience by 4m before the recalibration happened though. The decline before Thursday  was minimal. Also Morgan’s radio audience is below the original predictions too so pretty much all songs got affected.

Lavender Haze not in the top 10 even without Jimin :rip:

KB 8 weeks at #2, bigger than Bad Romance :clap3:

It seems the recalibration didn't affected BB's numbers, so... it wasn't sabotage. :rip: KB is a smash regardless.

Anti-Hero going up to #8, it's what it deserves, haven't been tired of it yet, it's just that good. Tay put some crack there.

The way BB doesn't announce where the Jimin song is because they might be mentalizing themselves for the ***** threats they'll receive after it

Billboard bombarded with unhinged replies.
