Taylor fanboy Posted April 8, 2023 Posted April 8, 2023 The iconic HBO Series seems to be virtually absent in sh!tpostings, GIF and meme culture. Did it fail to crossover to the last lot of millennials and the Gen Z or is it too respected for memes?
Sugden Posted April 8, 2023 Posted April 8, 2023 i think it has failed to crossover cause even the golden girls have memes and i never seen anything about this show i only know by name
family.guy123 Posted April 8, 2023 Posted April 8, 2023 Feel like the ending has been memed a ton. I’ve never even seen an episode yet I remember it being parodied
Orsay Posted April 8, 2023 Posted April 8, 2023 I've seen this format around a bit Spoiler but yeah, its too good for meme culture
Blade Runner Posted April 8, 2023 Posted April 8, 2023 (edited) Noup. Tony Soprano has a lot of memes around him. Edited April 8, 2023 by Blade Runner
poki Posted April 8, 2023 Posted April 8, 2023 (edited) I think it failed to cross over. I only see it mentioned in "Best TV shows ever" lists where most of the shows are from before the 90's which clearly shows how old the stans are. Edited April 8, 2023 by PoKiTaurus
Zoe_ Posted April 8, 2023 Posted April 8, 2023 That's great. Not everything needs to meme'd by Gen-Z.
Park Jinyoung Posted April 8, 2023 Posted April 8, 2023 Maybe it’s my side of it but I see memes about it often on tiktok
Zoomer Posted April 8, 2023 Posted April 8, 2023 The average Young Millennial and GenZ doesn’t even know it exist.
Navyofbadgals Posted April 8, 2023 Posted April 8, 2023 I’ve seen some Tony related stuff around. Maybe not at the level of breaking bad but it’s there

BGKC Posted April 8, 2023 Posted April 8, 2023 There’s a niche base among Italian Americans and/or NJ based groups that commonly use Soprano related memes. Their fan base is more Gen X + boomers overall though, so the memes tend to be far right and boomerific. Millennials were on MySpace still stuck on parodies then. Meme culture didn’t pick up and evolve into what it is today until the tumblr/twitter era either way.

GraceRandolph Posted April 8, 2023 Posted April 8, 2023 Lady Gaga’s The Sopranos is eternally relevant without some quick lil memes.
Wicked Posted May 15, 2023 Posted May 15, 2023 Sopranos is very meme'd, and millenials, zillenials & zoomers discuss it. They literally wrote an article about it lol
