rate Billboard's 100 Greatest K-Pop Songs of the 2010s: The Rate

Welcome to another rate hosted by moi! The last time we did a Billboard rate, we rearranged their list of the songs with the best choruses. But that list was significantly missing a certain genre: K-pop.

 

By the end of the Aughts, K-pop started its expansion to Korea's neighboring countries. So it was not a surprise that the 2010s saw the rise of the genre across the Pacific. Nowadays, it's common to see K-pop albums to debut in the top of Billboard 200. And just this week, we had the first K-pop soloist to top the Hot 100. It was all possible thanks to the amazing acts and songs that made the 2010's the "Golden Decade" of K-pop.

 

On November 25th, 2019, Billboard published their list of the 100 greatest K-pop songs of the decade. With the massive hits from the stalwarts of the second generation like Girls' Generation and Wonder Girls to the current mammoth hitmakers that debuted in the third generation like BTS, Blackpink and Twice, the list is diverse.

 

Now it is our turn to rearrange again another Billboard list. It is time to see which among these 100 songs is really the greatest K-pop song of the 2010s.

 

Ratings & Rules:

 - We will be listening to and rating 100 songs in total. Each song can be given a rating between 1 to 10. Up to two decimal places are allowed.

- Since there are 100 songs, everyone is entitled to give two 0s, an 11 and a 12.

- Comments are welcomed and might be used for the reveal.

- Deadline of submitting your ballots is on June 16th, 2023.

Honestly anything Gain would be top tier quality with a high score, but Bloom is one of the best songs of all time, not just kpop.

 

But put in the scope of korea, its just SO iconic idk they just dont make them like that anymore. An explosive pop song where she fingers herself in the video. Like???
