Elusive Chanteuse Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 Honestly excited and hopefully the acting will be much better.
Venice B Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 But can we all agree that no matter what they do they will never top this scene?
Abracadabra Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 24 minutes ago, Venice B said: Also if they're really doing a decade-long tv show with one season a year they could very well do the first two seasons about Harry's parent, the marauders and the first wizarding war against Voldemort like that would be SO amazing and create much more hype for the actual Harry adventures Honestly the idea of a prequel as a series about Harry's parents and Voldemort would be way better than just a straight up reboot of the movies

As a die hard fan of the books, the adaptation of Prisoner of Azkaban is DISGUSTANG (like most movies of the franchise) but I have to admit that if I remove my stan glasses off the movie itself is a MASTERPIECE. The only artistic movie of the franchise with ingenious cinematography, editing and style.

And his was the only movie from the series that could stand as a good movie on its own It's going to be awful enduring more of this series into my 40s

These users thinking a new season will debut yearly There’s no way with production value being taken into account. well the story is set like in the same place for the 90% of the total. It doesn't need like GOT level of production. Some of the movies were made year by year too.
Wrecked Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 (edited) I’ve recently just done my 1000th rewatch and the movies still hold up extremely well, especially if you watch the new 4K versions. I’ll remain optimistic because I was against The Last of Us becoming a movie or a tv show but the HBO series slayed me. Edited April 12, 2023 by Wrecked

Look at Stranger things or house of dragon. 1 season every 2-3 years is the only realistic option GOT managed to do a season a year just fine Edited April 12, 2023 by Miichael

First and second book are small so unless JKR adds some extra storylines (which would be cool as a fan of the books), they don't have to last as long as season 4 for instance.

If no season (I guess) it's gonna be more than like 10-12 episodes long i don't think first book it's gonna have 10 episodes like the book 5. Probably like 4-5.
Mikeymoonshine Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 People are like "why a reboot" but what else are they gonna do. It's a huge franchise but the Fantastic Beasts movies were flopping and nobody likes the plot of the cursed child. Plus Daniel and Emma clearly don't want to work with Rowling again. They know there is still money to be made from it (there was from that game) so all they can do is reboot with new actors. Actors who know that she's a transphobe and are still open to working with her. I won't be watching but I don't care if other people do. A lot of people just don't seem able to let go of this mediocre series.
Uncatena Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 announcing a series for 10 years sure is ambitious and will not at all backfire

Ivan_brit Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 It feels soo soon, the films still at pop culture, they need to wait at least 5 years or even more to re-create this franchise
Helios Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 Never read a single book or watched a single movie of this cheap franchise. PASS.
Material Girl Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 what’s the point of this we have the movies already. it’s not like they missed anything important from the books
PrettyHurts Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 Quote decade-long series we're going to be tortured by this franchise for all eternity why is this happening
Heartbreak Prince Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 I think I will be seated on my couch for this!
May Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 I read a rumour that they’ve been eyeing tom felton (Draco) to play Lucius Malfoy i do hope some of the original cast returns in new roles
Archetype Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 10 years is an insanely long time to commit to a show upfront. I hope they’re locked into this bc it would be a massive disappointment to everyone if they randomly cancel this halfway through.
