Way too early. They better not ruin Frozen by doing a live action so soon or I'll riot!

Frozen was meh anyways. Literally the worst princess movie.

Remember how Disney was a complete dud from 2005-2013, until Frozen premiered?

I can see this happening again very soon.

This is not Gonna flop. We can hate it all we want, but that hasn’t stopped the other remakes from thriving :giraffe: a mess!

While this is true... the other remakes are nostalgia bait for the parents of today that grew up watching them. Parents today did not watch Moana as a kid. So if any of these remakes is gonna flop, it will be Moana simply because it doesn't have that nostalgic familiarity from parents. Parents wanting to take their kids to see The Lion King in theaters because they loved watching it as a kid is a giant reason for why those remakes were so successful (well, except Mulan but we can honestly blame COVID for that one—even though it was also horrible all around).

It could of course be a success as well. It will be curious to see the reaction to it.

They are in their flop era already I think. Funny how before the pandemic they were unstoppable with 9 billion dollar movies in 2019.

Already? It feels like the original movie came out about three years ago. :deadbanana:

Tbh I thought the story in the first movie was meh but I really liked the characters, so I'm still excited for this.

I hope it's as whimsical as the first one

If the critics are mid to good, they got a 1 billion $ movie on their hand. Frozen 2 had mid reviews and did 1.5 billion

Although the first movie only did 700M$ at the box office, it was HUGE on streaming, bigger than Frozen, it beat Frozen on every charts year after year. So I really don't blame them for turning a TV show into an actual movie. But yeah the quality of the animation might actually suffer big time; I'm also worried for the editing :lmao:

But it seriously can't be worse than the MESSY Frozen 2 editing and that was a movie from the get-go

Mess at this coming out and then 7 months later the live-action is coming too. :deadbanana2: Moana becoming their cash cow since the Frozen cast aren't signing up to a 3rd.

I bet this was tied up in the contract with the live-action which is why they reached out the OG cast for that.

EDIT: Nvm Auli'i isn't involved in the live-action and this is just a redevelopment of the planned series apparently. :lakitu:
