"Refuses to cater to the mainstream", LMAO. He is exactly the definition of mainstream in the Latin world & Spain.

"Bad Bunny refuses to cater to the mainstream—and he doesn’t need to"

Yall could've dragged the mainstream thing for his collabs with Drake and Cardi B in an obvious effort to gain traction in the US but yall choosing to pretend that "reggaeton in Spanish is mainstream in the US" is unnecessarily dumb.

:ahh:he is the most mainstream sellout artist out there. Literally the hispanic Harry Styles in terms of queerbaiting. His team has done an excellent work at selling him as a serious artist in the US tho, kudos to them.

And he can't model. Should stick to do reggaeton discoteca bangers and call it a day. We won't forget how he originally looks like.

I think they talking about white people. He’s the biggest artist on earth without needing to make English music

and he doesn't need to improve if he doesn't want to. That's one of the things he means by "refuses to cater to the mainstream," he is not interested in the white audience because his music is not focused on them

I think they mean “doesn’t cater to white people” and are trying to say that without saying it. They don’t really understand that who’re people are not the center of the universe over at time magazine and that different demographics have different mainstream artists. Anyways I liked the interview, twas a good read. Most of the fits are cute!
