Disappointed with the album figure,  but it’s to be expected.

Kinda expected 2M at least :/

No shade cuz I love Bey but BMS lack of longevity is kind a mess. It’s serving HIAM lowkey

If she lifted a single TOE to promote the album it could have been above 1.5 million already. :deadbanana2:

In the same amount of time Chromatica was at 800k (HDD 2020 year end). So this is pretty good. 2m is possible for Bey this year if she continues the era w/ another single, releases visuals, and because of the tour.

Which there will be none of so I don’t even know why we’re highlighting it.

:rip:

OT: The album figure is perfectly fine for an era that hasn’t been promoted beyond two VOGUE magazine shoots, a few private ‘Club Renaissance’ parties and a Grammy appearance.

BMS being almost double platinum? ATRL's lies exposed once again. :toofunny3:

Cuff It, the best song on the album did THAT :clap3:The album itself deserves better though.

Is being almost 2×plat in the US enough to be called a global smash hit? There are many songs with more units that are deemed as flops here.

At what point in my comment did I mention "global smash hit"?

A two week #1 being at ~1.8m 10 months after release is a clear underperformance :rip: Gaga's Stupid Love reached ~1.5m during the same period and its widely considered a major flop.

A song that ATRL routinely states only achieved its #1 position because of "radio payola" is almost double platinum. In no way is that an under-performance, no matter how much you want to spin it. :rip:

Not you but that's what I have seen a lot of Beyonce fans claim BMS is.

Compare it to EVERY other #1 from any other year, including 2022, and its clearly at the BOTTOM when it comes to units, how is that NOT an underperformance? :rip:

And even worse, when it comes to singles that spent multiple weeks at #1, then it goes down in history as one of the worst performing ones :rip:

So it's an under-performance for an artist who ATRL has claimed hasn't been able to sell singles in well over a decade? :) No matter how you spin it, a song being nearly double-platinum after being claimed that it only achieved its performance due to "radio payola" isn't an under-performance. But I appreciate your concern. :heart2:

Nobody cares boo, BMS was a major success and your comments won’t change this fact. The fact that she can reach these figures 25 years into her career and with literally 0 promotion is crazy. You are not changing anybody’s mind sorry

Stupid Love was at 1.5 Million 29 months after release....

It moved 500k units between late September 2020 & late July 2022. That's under 800k streams a week & that average is even lower now:rip:@MrLovett

:deadbanana2: Why am I not surprised?

I wonder if the album can go 4*platinum in the long run. Even 4 did it.

The way she’s treating this era is a damn mess.

That 1m figure does not include YouTube and its 7 months after release, not 10 months as I've specified :toofunny3:

And even if you are right, what does SL not reaching 1.5m 10 months in its chart run, have to do with BMS being an underperformance? :deadbanana4: the fact that you are pulling out receipts to showcase SL - a known flop, being a flop is in order to make BSM chart run better, is speaking VOLUMES :ahh:

You made up figures for a (now exposed as false) comparison and now you're trying to act like a victim because @Armani? clocked you? :rip: Girl. :lmao:
