Soooooo much better than The Nun and Insidious. A very cute 4.5/10, imo. :jonny5:

Thank you to all the girlies who sacrificed their $15 to see this and provide us with firsthand reviews. I will just catch this when I can rent it cheaply or it's thrown on streaming.

Idk why y'all are saying it's terrible when it's just mid. A solid 5ish. At least it wasn't a flagrant disgrace to the series like Halloween Ends.

It gets hard objectively ranking levels of 💩-ness.

I can see this finishing with around $60M domestic and $110M global. Not really a flop if you consider the $30M budget of JUST this film, but put that against Universal's ridiculous $400M winning bid for the franchise rights and it's downright horrendous :rip:

Not you seeing it in theaters :bibliahh: Also that may sounds like the scariest part of the movie I fear.

Were there a lot of jump scares in this? I might watch to help DGG put food on his table, since st tells me he’s gonna need help with that soon

I can’t handle excessive jump scares tho

Just one small jump scare of a snake popping out of rocks but otherwise no jump scares in this movie.

This movie is so bad. The first half as some have stated is OK, in the second half they threw in the kitchen sink filled with cliche after cliche. The dialogue is full of cringe, I am screaming. :deadbanana4:

Save your coins girls.

I slightly agree. I'd also rank it somewhere between a 4.5-5/10. I'd say it's at least entertaining/not boring, unlike Insidious: The Red Door and The Nun II, where I was bored to death. However, I still would not recommend this sequel. Now, I'm a horror fan, and even I wouldn't rewatch this movie unless someone put the movie on in the background.

So should I go watch it or not?

Already wasted my coins on The Nun II :toofunny3:

Not the scariest part of this film being the goddamn promo posters. :rip: thankfully I didn't spend one penny on this since my mate wanted me to join him and he paid for everything.

The patriarchy line.... :rip:

Franklin died before witnessing that.

holy CRAP was this bad.... like incoherently awful, every second felt like a drag, not a single spooky or scary scene, the climax was a ******* JOKE. DGG should be barred from filmmaking.

Just finished it and like this was a slap in the face to the original.  Really super disappointed this month with each horror remake/sequels (VHS, SAW, The nun). They need better writers

I haven't seen the latest sequel to VHS because I didn't care for the first one, but I do agree The Nun II was pretty bad. The fact that people think it's better than the original is surprising to me because while the first movie wasn't great, I was at least entertained, and I thought the film was at least rich in atmosphere. The sequel, in my opinion, has zero atmosphere.

I'm surprised you didn't like Saw X, though. I have seen all the Saw films (not sure if you have), and Saw X is easily my favorite followed by Saw VI.

yeah the nun just felt off, like basic and nothing unique as with the conjuring universe usually has. Im guessing because with me reading about how great Saw was and it was a crazy twist act. Made me over hype to see. I went in with very high expectations.
