Republic getting to sign her must've been the coup of the century within the music industry :deadbanana2:

I wonder what will happen once she has to re-negotiate her contract. The rumor was that her current contract went for 5 albums (excluding the TVs, which I'm sure she signed a different contract for), so that'd mean she still has one more album left.

After that, the whole world will be on her feet (again). I see her staying with Republic tho, but hopefully some of her contract details leak :eli:

A Billboard article reported/alleged three studio albums with UMG.

So it would have added ~11k units or so. I dont think that's closing a 16k gap, but top 10 certainly

Edit: Oh I guess the tweet thinks it would have sold some additional thousand on iTunes? Idk about that.... With only 1 new song

Republic must be so annoyed tho :skull: A 5 album contract would've taken her around a decade to fulfil based on her usual release frequency but she's gonna take half the time to do so after she surprised them with TWO pandemic albums in a year :dies:

If lover would have reach the top10 because of the new song we would read now "desperate etc..".

Being number 14 13 or 12 like this more impressive than 7 6 5 with a new song.

I think they are happy cause is a gold moment so She will sign again with them after how well things have worked since 2019.

She’s going to shatter more records once she releases the remaining re-recorded albums. Still have 4 more left to go (debut, Speak Now, 1989, and Rep). Her slayage is going to continue until 2030.

I 100% think she’ll re-sign with them. She’s basically been given complete freedom and it’s worked out wonderfully (to put it mildly). I honestly don’t see why she would even consider other options at this point in time.

Taylor charting like she’s recently died while other girls have one album scraping the top 30 :jonny:

Great debut for U2 and great hold for Miley  :clap3:

What's about Taylor's success is that tour effect makes all of her albums climb in international charts like UK, Australia, etc. :jonnycat:

i know, im just wondering how given there is no single, no video, no promo, nothing....it is quite remrkable, especially in the streaming era where singles drive albums.
