my blood boils with her useless team when it comes to streaming, like get with the time, get a gen z intern who know hows streaming work.

The playlisting, and not add this to lover album.

I mean she already top 3 artists on streaming but her stream could be much bigger

See, the one thing Scott Bruschetta was good for was picking singles. The Lord is unable to rank her own hymns correctly

Probably won’t happen. You know Taylor and her team are incapable of making good decisions regarding Lover, that’s something we all agree on, regardless of where we stand on the album. :gaycat7:

Kinda like when they chose Me as the lead single instead of Cruel Summer 😩

the way this song is more stable on Apple music than it's on spotify

Scott borchetta got power until Speak now.

Then everything was on Taylor.

She wrote shake it off as last song of 1989, she went back to Max Martin and said to him we have to make a bop with the most generic lyrics, the rest of the songs of the album are still not that enough generic to make a pop global smash. She wasn't feel safe with Blank Space.

For what she has said in interviews the label was absolutely scared to launch red with We are never as the first single.

As you can see from the Miss Americana documentary she wrote me! with the precise intent to write the first single from the album...a generic self love song for everyone.

So it wasn't her label choice, i don't even think they have listened to all the album in a complete form when she produced and directed and launched the video.

You have to blame her and only her. :spin:

yeah her team is completely braindead for not adding this and the other songs to their albums

I am absolutely in love with this song. It's quite questionable how this remained unreleased and songs like ME! and YNTCD got single treatments.

Lover could've been such a different era had she released different songs

Cruel Summer

All The Girls You Loved Before

Either The Man or Paper Rings or Death By A Thousand Cuts

Lover

A more cohesive singles rollout I think.

and considering Lover consistently gets great streams just tells you she messed up the era single-wise

Yup, It wouldn't surprise me one bit if the deep cuts are out streaming the singles.

Now that this debuted on the charts, it's time for our good sis Need to be released :celestial5:

I want it to come with the next batch of standalone re-recordings, things like Sweeter Than Fiction, I Don’t Wanna Live Forever and Crazier (lol)

STF is probably gonna be in 1989 TV, same with IDWLF on Rep TV. Crazier has a slight chance, and I kind of wish she releases another droplets of rerecordings once she announces the international dates :gaycat5:

Heard this on the radio the other night and was shocked at how good it sounded there. She really makes the weirdest choices sometimes. This 100% should have made the Lover tracklist.

Not only that, it should have been the 4th single over the Man.

Picture it;

1. Cruel Summer

2. You need to Calm Down

3.  Lover

4. All of the Girls You Loved Before

Is Taylor’s team pushing this on radio? Or are they going with Karma?

I wonder if she’s going to release an EP with the vault songs from Lover eventually, we must get Need officially (we actually should have instead of All the Girls, Need is such a superior song compared to it)

Karma

This dropped off since Karma was announced

This is weirdly very stable on streaming

Giving 300m+ streams this year for a song her management doesn't care about
