Artur Posted June 20 Posted June 20 Wait, just realized there is someone shooting at Joel's character in the car scene

I really hope the whole "dies in front of the crowd and spreads the curse" theory doesn't happen. Would be so obvious and cliché, imo. What I really need is someone being able to beat the monster once and for all. That's what Smile 3 is for 😉
ICLDXU4HS Posted June 21 Posted June 21 First one was cute, but overrated. This looks nice, I can see it potentially being an upgrade. 1
Uncatena Posted June 25 Posted June 25 oooh when this pulls a Ouija and randomly gets a brilliant sequel YUP YUP YUP 1
Smarticle Posted July 2 Posted July 2 Spoiler I watched A Quiet Place Day One today and the Smile 2 trailer played in front of the movie, but the truck swerving didn't leave a bloody skid mark but a brown dirt one....maybe the online trailer is misleading on how Joel dies
Musicmajor Posted September 3 Posted September 3 As a superfan of the first movie, the trailers for the 2nd installment do not have me over the moon excited, but I will still watch!
Uncatena Posted September 3 Posted September 3 yeah, this looks like its gonna ******* rock im not even going to lie... Parker Finn I knew I could trust you 1
fountain Posted September 4 Posted September 4 The first was good fun. I hope this one is as entertaining
Smarticle Posted September 4 Posted September 4 Hopefully it's not another Ring series where there's really no escape from this 1

Fingers crossed for a part 3 1
skankle Posted October 14 Posted October 14 I was rooting for this but the trailers are looking really rough... the scares just aren't hitting! Maybe they're saving the actually good ones for the movie

Lorelei Posted October 14 Posted October 14 Eh, nothing out of the ordinary with this sequel from what i can tell. Pretty standard mainstream horror film. The way everything seems less unsettling and terrifying after watching The Substance, lol

Elementary Posted October 15 Posted October 15 Not sure they are using this movie's premise correctly. The first one was intriguing because it had a raw fresh concept that could have been exploited in the same vein of The Ring. The sequel having a literal popstar as the lead feels tacky and artificial. I'll still give it a chance though.
lillavend3r Posted October 15 Posted October 15 Okay this might be ass but the Skye Riley EP is flawless
ainadalkaz Posted October 16 Posted October 16 the streets are saying that this is better than the original, so idk what y'all are talking about. i'll reserve my judgement until i see it on thursday but i'm excited!! death of me is a massive BOP 1
publikcitizen Posted October 16 Posted October 16 I feel like paramount did a bad job marketing this movie. Like I forgot it was coming out soon 1 1

Depending on which version you count as continuity. - having someone else watch the tape - making a copy? - trapping Samara back 1 1

The way that they're selling it is making it look more choppy than it is. On 10/14/2024 at 8:42 AM, Lorelei said: Eh, nothing out of the ordinary with this sequel from what i can tell. Also Naomi Scott gave a tour de force performance. She deserves all the accolades that she's getting. This actually still very much feels raw and fresh. Not to be morbid but imagine Britney Spears conservatory situation with supernatural elements and you pretty much get this movie. Alot of people were mentioning that they vibe they were giving off intentional or not. The way this film uses hororr as a metaphor for mental health the sequels angle is definitely the horror of fame and celebrity and the mental health of someone in that status. She truly deserves it. 3 hours ago, publikcitizen said: I feel like paramount did a bad job marketing this movie.
