Lady Claire Posted March 17, 2023 Posted March 17, 2023 It's good but i'm sure she has better stuff on the album. Love her music

And the lyrics too. Like, don't even get me started on Class Fight & that Detention bridge What about the rest of the song? The detention bridge is amazing and its literally a reference to all female artists who just want a break but get told NO by their management. Even the video is symbolic for female artists who are literally forced to perform like circus animals in front of their "fans". I honestly feel like most of her songs just went above people heads since they took every lyric literally. Like sis use those last 2 braincells and think a biT.

I like the song...the bridge is just awkward sounding to me regardless of what it's about. & the bold is fair to say I guess but personally I can't blame people for not grasping a message in any k-12 song with how on the nose and/or how tightly related to context in the film some of the songs are.

Thats fair but I'll take it one step further, there is a group of people on here who literally call her a pedophile because of her crybaby concept. I honestly cant take these people seriously.
mellenthin Posted March 18, 2023 Posted March 18, 2023 Never really listened to her before, but this got me super hyped for the album. It's amazing.
justin464 Posted March 18, 2023 Posted March 18, 2023 Oh wow I didn’t expect expect this to debut so high! Deserved
keatonzee Posted March 19, 2023 Posted March 19, 2023 Hoping this can manage to chart on Billboard, cuz it'll be 11 years since Melanie's last entry (her covers of the Voice in 2012)
BrokenMachine Posted March 19, 2023 Posted March 19, 2023 Finally something interesting K-12 was fine, but the music and melodies were like Cry Baby demos that went nowhere
Helios Posted March 23, 2023 Posted March 23, 2023 (edited) I just saw a Banner for DEATH on Spotify. Is her label actually supporting her this time around? Edited March 23, 2023 by Helios
