QueenofCopyPaste Posted January 23 Posted January 23 Annette is so winning SAG then watch Sandra pull out a surprise win 1 2
Bad Wolf Posted January 23 Posted January 23 (edited) Is the Supporting Actress category going to now have its annual Jamie Lee Curtis/America Ferrera spot to whatever one of the Best Picture frontrunner is? Edited January 23 by Bad Wolf

shark_heather Posted January 23 Posted January 23 (edited) Best Picture : Poor things Best Actor : Cillian Murphy Best Actress : Emma Stone Best Director : Christopher Nolan ( even though i hope is Yorgos Lanthimos ) Edited January 23 by shark_heather 1
Riverbank Posted January 23 Posted January 23 Greta missing is more of a shock than Margot getting snubbed tbh. Didn't expect to see America there either. Billie snatching another nom, we love to see it
playwithme Posted January 23 Posted January 23 Rooting for Sandra Hüller, but we all know that Gladstone is winningI can't take the Academy seriously after they snubbed Cate last year. 1

I could see that being what pushed her nomination with the branch. i agree and that Critics Choice award just right at the end of voting kinda seals it. 2

Komet Posted January 23 Posted January 23 Aren't Best Actress winners usually from movies that aren't even in BP? I doubt these few KOTFM misses affect Li Lee
Jessie Posted January 23 Posted January 23 Annette Bening did it. Overall pretty happy with the nominations even when a film was snubbed they still got key mentions (Past Lives, Best Picture and Screenplay; May December, Screenplay; El Conde making Cinematography). Seems like actors rallied round America as the feminist heart of Barbie that inspired those #1 ballots instead of Margot who was probably universally liked but people just rested on the assumption she was safe; but she’s still nominated for Best Picture and Gerwig for Picture / Screenplay and she will turn it out in another Barbie inspired red carpet moment. Both Barbie and Oppenheimer really maxed out in the BSA categories. Napoleon got a decent amount of BTL nominations. Zone of Interest came through, so happy for Glazer. 1
LIDDOATIN Posted January 23 Posted January 23 it's time to accept that BARBIE is not the masterpiece that y'all would like it to be.. it's MEHHHHH... great message but messy 2 2
Stepfon Posted January 23 Posted January 23 I actually feel bad for Margot and Greta, Greta should have gave Margot an Oscar scene in there somewhere. 1
QueenofCopyPaste Posted January 23 Posted January 23 Paul Giamatti SURGING When he wins SAG its a lock
KatyPrismSpirit Posted January 23 Posted January 23 America Ferrera got nominated? She had the most forgettable performance in the Barbie movie it wasn’t even that special. Where is the color purple? 1

Augmented Posted January 23 Posted January 23 Nimona nominated as it should omfg Pretending Miss Ferrera was nominated for her performance as Betty Suarez congrats queen Sad for Dua but a nom was never happening given the nominee rules and the other two Barbie tracks sweeping critic awards. Just wish she didn’t campaign as heavy as she did given the nominations were pretty written in stone all the way back from summer last year but 1
Digitalism Posted January 23 Posted January 23 I think the nominations are telling me they are giving one win to each movie they think it's deserving Best movie and Director Oppie Best Original Screenplay Justine Best adapted Greta Best international Zone of interest So that probably means Emma Stone is winning to give Poor Things something

OnlyManInTheWorld Posted January 23 Posted January 23 I’m so hyped for The Zone of Interest The Anatomy of a Fall was a strong 8/10 It’s Sandra’s year
