Nicki's verse is cute but a little disappointing... Like remember how she used to DELIVER for pop features...

that was a classic, that was a classic :clap3:

I feel like nowadays nicki only delivers on a song if she's into the artist she's collaborating with? Her verse on this definitely screams "i'm doing a favour" / phoned-in but it's passable. Hopefully this is a smash for Kim, she really needs it.

FYI whatever leaked this week was a LQ demo, the final version sounds much better :clap3:

This could become a hit, it balances the pop-trap-rap line well without sounding too extra or noisy + remixes of this will sound amazing.

The only thing missing is a drop. Otherwise it‘s a 10/10. idk what some were expecting. Nicki‘s verse is perfect. It sounds even better then the leaked version. Song of the summer:celestial4:

No :deadbanana4:

It was obviously a demo, it didn't even have the "Woo-ahh!" at the beginning and like 30% of the backing instrumentals and beats were either missing or underdeveloped.

The final version with the woo ah also leaked a few hours later. We had it

A bop as expected. It could use a better structure overall: Kim verse sounds too long, the pre-chorus is a little bit on the bland side but at the same it elevates the chorus way more. Nicki’s verse is ok, on par with her recent output. A final more explosive chorus with a full-on eurodance drop would have been perfect to end this but overall I’m quite happy with what we got. I think Brrr remains the superior track of the album (if it’s even on the album) so far, but this is definitely her best chance at a hit.

Now, they need to serve with an high-budget video, that could really be the make it or break it for this single.

Honestly, this still slaps.

It could've been much better, so the disappointment is granted. But it's still good.

I was referring to what leaked yesterday or two days ago, I forget.  The final version sounds much better than that

A drop? Didn't we leave that back in 2012 EDM?

And probably it was, before the video. She did the photoshoot for the song months ago

Although i'm a bit confused by the song/mini-Alone era aesthetic. First she teased something school themed, then she had these phone calling videos and the single cover gives a futuristic vibe (which it fits the song better in my opinion). I wonder how the video will go bc it seems a bit all over the place and i don't get it. Jesus and brrr had pretty cohesive aesthetics even though they didn't had a video

I believe the song definitely was intended for a solo release at first. The version that was submitted alongside the rest of the album tracks I got back in February was solo and that's the exact same one Kim used for the first set of teasers, the slutty highschooler one. This shot definitely gives single cover vibes, not to mention that it was done by Jason Al-Taan yet again, the photographer who shot both previous singles.

You can definitely tell her inspiration behind a lot of these songs was the music she grew up listening to, so that's kinda fun. This ultimately leads to the album not being sonically cohesive at all, which is reflected in their singles choices, but I don't think that's what they were aiming for anyway. I strongly agree with what Lady Claire said earlier this week; there's something for everyone in this album, no matter what your favourite Kim genre/sound is. In my opinion, Problématique was a stronger choice for a debut album than this.
