The trap beat isn’t the problem for me. It’s that there’s absolutely no build up on the chorus. It’s just rinse and repeat throughout which does cause the song to fall a bit flat. I’m not even necessarily saying it should be Eurodance or whatever, just some added oomph would hit that spot for me.

I'm confused -- do we like samples that carry the track on its back or not? Because all the fan edits everyone's in here posting sound like the OG song with Kim's vocals, which is precisely what everyone is complaining about regarding samples in this era of music.

I feel like the powers that be are letting her go ahead with this mediocre music because they’re kind of already over it and want to shelve her after her album underperforms.
 

Which is weird because you would think with the optics of signing someone like her who’s been around those circles that attempting to do a commercialized hyperpop would be plan A.

 

I guess because SP was panned they think it’s not viable but I think it was the branding and Puke nametag still beating her ass (on top of her being dumb online) that caused division, people with less resources make this music well as proven by that fan remix. Why is she or her team so insistent on retreading water?
