Of course they do; Crazy in Love and Fantasy come to mind straight away. Arguably surpassing the originals or equal to. 

 

I think the issue is that the song was sold as a 2010s Europop song (hence the sample) and the switch in beat is such a juxtaposition, particularly as a lot of people are winding down from a trap beat.

This song had the exact same production for months before Nicki was added to it in a desperate attempt at giving it the flair it's so desperately missing. Y'all need to stop being delusional, the song was bad from the get go.

Where did I say it's Nicki's fault? Republic obviously added her to the song in hopes she would salvage it and make it a hit. She could only do so much to a song that was already **** before her input.

I don’t think that was the intention, I think it was to give her more cred for working with another huge, established artist. Personally I think the song is better with Nicki. If it had just been the 2nd verse with the same flow as the first, it definitely would not have been as good
