It may not be what people expected but personally I LOVE the melancholy vibe of the slowed down verse   It just fits the lyrics SO much better. Can’t wait to see what Nicki brings to this.

Lol y'all, the beat of the song is just the chorus and that verse looped. I made an edit (it's not v good) but it proves the song is 3:05

 

It has the structure chorus -> kim's verse -> chorus -> nicki's verse -> chorus

The verses are very Kim Petras Clarity-coded (aka her best work). There’s nothing shocking here at all. I see no issue. You can’t have that sample throughout the entire song or it would get annoying so fast.

this is so disappointing. we haven't gotten a good bridge from kim since clarity, and this was the perfect opportunity to elevate the song w/ an explosive bridge -> final chorus
