haimpedro Posted March 9, 2023 Posted March 9, 2023 i hope this finally launches her career she's good

Gossip_Boy Posted March 9, 2023 Posted March 9, 2023 This sounds like it belongs to Love Island as a background soundtrack. And I mean this in the most derogatory way possible. All the other rumored entries were significantly better with much better staging potential. Back to **** entries and flopping for us I guess. Shame especially after last year.
Mordecai Posted March 9, 2023 Posted March 9, 2023 31 minutes ago, Navyofbadgals said: And she shouldn’t have - It's okay I guess. Chorus is lacking that extra 'oomph' and it's not on the level of Fuego, SloMo or hell even El Diablo. It has potential to come alive on stage though
Supervillain Posted March 9, 2023 Posted March 9, 2023 This song is trash but the video is pretty cool, I gotta give her that
tbhmatt Posted March 9, 2023 Posted March 9, 2023 I don’t hate it, but I don’t love it either. Honestly we’ve sent FAR worse and they’ve clearly tried to appeal to the younger crowd and sent (what they think is) a credible ‘pop’ song and not just a ‘Eurovision’ song… It’s kind of the opposite spectrum to what they did with Sam Ryder, so we’ll see how this works out.

Therapist is her best song OT: Thank god Rina didn't get it
tbhmatt Posted March 9, 2023 Posted March 9, 2023 The constant negativity mostly from the Brits towards our own entries does get a bit tiresome though, I can’t lie. Like.. this clearly isn’t winning material but it’s absolutely fine and it’s an inoffensive bop, we have sent much worse ddd. I wish sometimes we just stopped complaining about everything all the time.
ZIVERT Posted March 9, 2023 Posted March 9, 2023 It’s giving ChatGPT “write a breakup song for a Dua Lipa x Anne Marie collab” but it’s cute. This is exactly the type of music that’s played on UK radio. I think the UK is starting to find its legs again in the contest
fountain Posted March 9, 2023 Posted March 9, 2023 This is genuinely awful We wanted Rina but got this…
Duanielipa Posted March 9, 2023 Posted March 9, 2023 It’s not gonna win but doesn’t deserve bottom 5 either. Hoping for left hand of the score board considering the quality of the rest of this years songs.
Abracadabra Posted March 9, 2023 Posted March 9, 2023 It's a catchy cute bop, and the pre-chorus, chorus, post-chorus is VERY Eurovision I wanted Rina, but I'm wishing Mae the best of luck
Wrecked Posted March 9, 2023 Posted March 9, 2023 The way most of you would be stanning if this was released by Dua Lipa. It sounds no different than the songs she releases.
elvenOCEAN Posted March 9, 2023 Posted March 9, 2023 Should've just sent Mabel, if they wanted that Love Island sound. Perfect for bottom 5, unfortunately. But then again, this is (sadly), as someone already pointed out above, what is played on the British radio, so... :/
tbhmatt Posted March 9, 2023 Posted March 9, 2023 (edited) I know it’s not much but #1 on iTunes UK and #75 on Apple Music UK (Pop charts) - yet to crack the all genres chart. I assume it’ll get some kind of NMF push on Spotify at midnight, too. Edit; she’s also #1 trending on YouTube, too. The more I listen to it, the more I think it’s a perfectly acceptable trashy bop. The “da dada dada diii” part is the kind of basic catchy melody the crowd will eat up ddd Edited March 9, 2023 by tbhmatt

J Legend X Posted March 9, 2023 Posted March 9, 2023 "it's not going to win Eurovision"... and why would you go to a competition to lose.. or to be mediocre.. like.... Sweden WOULD NEVER !
tbhmatt Posted March 10, 2023 Posted March 10, 2023 Apple Music UK #118 (All Genres) #49 (Pop) #4 on NMF U.K. on Spotify
