Chartmasters recently compiled a list of the 20 biggest digital singles of all time.

 

All but one of the songs is from the late 2000's/ early 2010's which was the peak of iTunes and other digital download sites.

 

Any surprises? Did your fave(s) make the list?

Poker Face, Rolling in the Deep, Tik Tok, and Call Me Maybe really are the defining songs of a whole era of pop music.

Only 4 females as lead artist? That’s low. Not surprised at Call Me Maybe,Poker Face and Rolling in the deep, they smashed on every continent including Asia.

LY was only released on 12" vinyl in 2002-3. It never had a "normal" physical single.

its sold 7.5M pure in the US, the diamond certification is SPS

Katy’s hits were big but they were never the huge ww smashes something RITD was for example
