Kinda embarrassing ngl:skull: His lead song from that album is Diamond....

And the album has been charting on Billboard 200 over 300 weeks @Trent W

He's also collabed with many of the R&B girlies on some of their biggest songs like Summer Walker, H.E.R and Jazmine Sullivan.

So y'all just dont listen to the genre:rip:

Be serious :gaycat7: Trapsoul was innovative in 2015 as a youth. Revisiting it as an adult shown me that the album is dated and overrated. Abel’s Trilogy will holds up today.

The Weeknd is definitely more influential but he’s long abandoned he’s alt-R&B roots so I can see Bryson becoming more influential within R&B long term.

ATRL is uncultured as hell:skull:

I guess that's what happens when you only talk about Pop Girls all day

Bryson Tiller is very forgotten in 2023 I'm sorry :gaycat6:

I had no idea his first album was *that* big though, so props to him for that. I was never a fan of his stuff

I only know Bryson Tyller's name because he was nominated with Zayn for BNA at the 2016 Billboards, so The Weeknd

Obviously the Weeknd is more influential

I didnt realize one song charting at the bottom of the Top 200 on streaming could make a entire album chart on Billboard 200 over 300 weeks after release

Care to bring up Trilogy's stats since you're really going there

Trilogy might not be charting on the BB200 but 4 of the Weeknd's other albums are, all higher than trapsoul too

I love R&B but the real stuff that takes talent. Those artists you listed moan over ringtones, in my opinion. I listen to Luther Vandross, Solange, Sade, Jhelisa, etc.

Jazmine has some fine stuff tho

Sade is my #11th listened to artist the past 90 days too. Luther 27th

There's other layers to R&B music. Not ringtones plz:skull:

Not Jazmine Sullivan moaning over beats, I dont think you've ever listened to her lol

I edited, because I do in fact respect Miss Sullivan and didn’t see you listed her, she’s just not my favorite

What's embarassing about it? Just checked his stats and that song+album is certified CARDBOARD in my country

One day you all will learn that the USA isn't the only country in the world

They were brought up since you didnt know who he was or the album :rip:

Also the song is probably undercertified in many countries considering it's about to hit 1 Billion on Global Spotify. The US one is 3 plaques behind
