Jjang Posted March 5, 2023 Posted March 5, 2023 It only received around 220k streams on Spotify yesterday. Is that a little bit underwhelming for the biggest song of all time?
ASC Posted March 5, 2023 Posted March 5, 2023 Why people are expecting songs from 60’s 70s 80s and 90s have the same numbers as current songs ? Everyone bought CD Single and soundtrack there is no need for streaming at the same level No promo No Titanic anniversary and Celine is still alive
State of Grace. Posted March 5, 2023 Posted March 5, 2023 (edited) And still bigger, more known, and more iconic than all of our faves songs Edited March 5, 2023 by State of Grace.
45seconds Posted March 5, 2023 Posted March 5, 2023 It has 400m+ streams and it’s from 20+ years ago. Like bffr
brenda-walsh Posted March 5, 2023 Posted March 5, 2023 regardless of any stats it will forever remain one of the most famous songs ever

ATRL is obsessed with streams as the only viable metric - so what do the same members have to say about such a well-known song having "underwhelming" numbers?
XAMJ Posted March 5, 2023 Posted March 5, 2023 i will not allow this site to drag Celine, she is quite literally the least problematic girl.

Scars Posted March 5, 2023 Posted March 5, 2023 (edited) No, it's streams are great. Stans underestimate the fact people are not always in the mood to listen to a dramatic 90s ballad song, which also explains why Whitney's I Will Always Love You is so behind I Wanna Dance with Somebody on Spotify, despite the former being arguably the most well-known female song of all time. BnPac Posted March 5, 2023 Posted March 5, 2023 I'm actually surprised the song is receiving so many streams. Awful song.
lovemehateme Posted March 5, 2023 Posted March 5, 2023 I guess it has to do with playlisting and that it's a ballad from 25 years ago.
