If Taylor can do it, so can Abel. :lmao:

Well, Taylor never did it but good thing to know that there would be no problem if she did

I've always disliked this Ariana's tactic of promoting on Spotify

Rema should do it too, we need that push for the Top 10 peak on the Hot 100

Spotify streams have been influenced by autoplay / auto-generated playlists and suggestions for years. That's why some artists / songs are huge on Spotify but N/A on AM where such things aren't available

Why is he doing this on the last day of the tracking week when the #1 is pretty much locked. Is he trying to secure a 2nd week at #1?

Anyway with the way more and more artists are paying for Spotify autoplay, it won’t be long before billboard has to come up with a new rule. :celestial5:

Since this is a thing we have always seen a new set of songs getting it on Thursday

Apple Music has autoplay too

I've noticed some songs on the Apple Music *R&B Top 200, chart wierdly. It's not a lot though

Run Me Dry by Bryson Tiller & My Affection by Summer Walker are both Top 50 R&B and near Top 200 overall all genres. But both of which doing are like 20-30k daily on Spotify and nonexistent on Youtube

just check with my Spotify and this remix's always the third song in the queue :bibliahh:

And a song by someone called Stephen Sanchez. I always had it on auto play. The song went even in the top 10 for a couple of days and then dropped fast.

Combined with the duet version, UIFY was actually in the Top 10 for a while, and peaked at #4 with over a million streams on US Spotify for at least a week:

It had a quick momentary drop, but bottomed out in the Top 25. It has steadily since recovered, and is hovering around the Top 15 with over three-quarters of a million streams.

US Spotify - 03/01/23

47(-1) Stephen Sanchez, Em Beihold - Until I Found You [Duet] 491,051 (+5,305)

185(-9) Stephen Sanchez - Until I Found You 291,840 (+1,009)

Total Streams for Until I Found You: 782,891 #15(=) with combined streams

Keep in mind, this song went recurrent on Pop 3 months ago. Further proof of a legit hit and no payola.

Shameless.

That's why I don't use autoplay anymore.

Lol I remember I pointed this out months ago.

Kill bill , Nonsense, UIFY , Unholy are some of the examples

Let's add Weeknd to the list too.

We all call pop girls desperate but I have not seen anyone calling Weeknd out lol

When did Taylor use autoplay like that? The only examples I remember are Nonsense, Flowers (2nd and 3rd week) and Until I found You

I don't have the screenshots handy but there were a bunch of pop ups and push notifications people were receiving from Spotify saying "You've only listened to x% amount of Midnights, listen to more to get to 100%"

That's not autopayola

That promotion is literally happening for years.

Can you guys just admit that all major label artists are guilty of trying to game streams like we're splitting hairs here

So sick of both of these lames.

Promotion is normal, gaming the algorithm to put your song in all of the Autoplay Users' queues is not.

Guarantee that if any other artist did that there’d be a thread calling them desperate but OKAY. That’s not to say I agree with the auto play feature but this really isn’t new, it’s just major labels adapting to streaming.

Embarrassing :skull: was this necessary? It's just a remix for a 7 year old song they should just let it die and move on

So an extremely mainstream song was played after searching for other extremely mainstream songs? Shocking

And that is precisely what's going on with this song, autoplay is what's pushing it :rip: latest update is #3 (+2) on Spotify US but #27 (-7) on AM

Interesting. Probably to make it look less suspicious since streams naturally increase towards the end of the weekdays.

Probably featured on some major R&B playlists and the fact that most R&B songs tend to perform a lot better on AM

No, those 2 songs are performing much better than they should when compared to other R&B songs

They also arent on the Top R&B playlists
