The song went from 5.6M (March 1st) to 6.9M (March 2nd).

Is the Autoplay feature overpowered? What are your thoughts in this blatant manipulation?

just tested and it's always die for you even with the most random songs

this has already happened to me with nonsense (when it got that huge boost) and flowers (2nd or 3rd week)

anyway, at the end of the day youtube has done this forever with the "next song" feature.

Why is he doing this on the last day of the tracking week when the #1 is pretty much locked. Is he trying to secure a 2nd week at #1?

Anyway with the way more and more artists are paying for Spotify autoplay, it won’t be long before billboard has to come up with a new rule. :celestial5:

For me, it’s what happens after the Autoplay boost is gone. Nonsense was clearly payola, as it never got that high again. It’s barely hanging on to the Top 100 on US Spotify. Other songs that got the boost, like Flowers and Until I Found You, are still going strong on US Spotify many weeks later. They are legitimate hits.

yeah, they are.

for example flowers first week was out of this world massive, but the 2nd or the 3rd week it really got heavily autoplayed.

it's still an unquestionable smash on all platforms

probably the same (on a smaller scale) will happen with die for you

nonsense it was worth it for it to be a known song, it's still on TTH cuz of it autoplay exposion, but i agree its a 100% different situation.

oh, p!nk trustfall (single) got heavily autoplayed too and it didn't work out so much.

it stayed a couple days on top 100 and that was it.

When did Taylor use autoplay like that? The only examples I remember are Nonsense, Flowers (2nd and 3rd week) and Until I found You

I haven't see any threads here about so no one I guess.

Give it back to nonsense

I don’t really think this matters in the long run. People can skip the song if they want to

And a song by someone called Stephen Sanchez. I always had it on auto play. The song went even in the top 10 for a couple of days and then dropped fast.

And y’all tried to drag Sabrina…

Yeah it happens for me with Flowers too but I listen to a decent amount of Ari and The Weeknd.

Nonsense was much more blatant because I never listened to a single Sabrina song but it was spammed to death for like a week.

It clearly matters at least for the time the songs are using it. The remix wouldn't have gained 1.3M daily streams randomly without it
