doonerr Posted March 1, 2023 Posted March 1, 2023 Rihanna cleared, but Taylor Swift won lyric of the year with "I say, your place when we leave"
nathanspears Posted March 1, 2023 Posted March 1, 2023 I've never wrapped my head around how this is a Taylor Swift song. It sounds nothing like her usual stuff and the lyrics are so boring. It's literally the same thing over and over. What did Calvin Harris do exactly as well?? Did he and Taylor work on it together I don't understand?

Dear Reader Posted March 1, 2023 Posted March 1, 2023 guys i’m completely freaking out, I NEEDED this
QueenB Posted March 1, 2023 Posted March 1, 2023 clearly a demo but Taylor ate, no wonder they kept her vocals on the ooo's

Scott Borchetta Posted March 1, 2023 Posted March 1, 2023 First Ester Dean, then Bebe Rexha, and finally Taylor Swift. I wonder who will be hitting the high notes for R9...Billie Eilish maybe?
iammadmat Posted March 1, 2023 Posted March 1, 2023 (edited) it doesn't play for me, i guess i'll have to wait a little bit Edited March 1, 2023 by iammadmat typo
Klein Posted March 1, 2023 Posted March 1, 2023 I have always disliked this song, sung by Rihanna or by Taylor. I just find it funny that in the end it was Taylor's vocals on Rihanna's version.
Modus Posted March 1, 2023 Author Posted March 1, 2023 Calvin kept Taylor vocals for PR reasons only not yall fighting over Rihanna vocal abilities when Taylor don't have even vibrato 1 1
Kirby Kirbs Posted March 1, 2023 Posted March 1, 2023 Would definitely love a Taylor's Version on rep TV for this although I feel like it would be piano based instead
State of Grace. Posted March 1, 2023 Posted March 1, 2023 (edited) Ugh wish they finished it because its obv still demo-y. Would have been the ultimate collapse Scream @ the way Rihanna emulates literally every demo she gets Edited March 1, 2023 by State of Grace.
fountain Posted March 1, 2023 Posted March 1, 2023 Honestly always been a terrible song, still interesting to hear this demo tho
Obsession Posted March 1, 2023 Posted March 1, 2023 I always knew Taylor had most of the higher vocals in the final, Rihanna's voice doesn't go that high. Hearing them both, I don't think Rihanna added anything substantial but her version has better production since it's not the demo.
Buffy Posted March 1, 2023 Posted March 1, 2023 Taylor’s is the superior version. It would’ve been amazing had they fully finished and polished it up more. There’s more emotion in certain parts as well. It has her signature all over it.
Digitalism Posted March 1, 2023 Posted March 1, 2023 She better do the TV because the vocals are rough on this one
FolkLover1989 Posted March 1, 2023 Posted March 1, 2023 lmfao so Rih did absolutely nothing original in the released version and the chorus is Taylor vocals wow I never see anyone coming for this now lol It's proven fact now This sounds so much fresh and more emotional than whatever we got.
