The description of this album looked interesting… this man how to do ballads & this is an Acustic album

I fear he is coming again! ATRL will hate this specially since all of the songs are slow songs

Wondering when he will release the lead single since the next 2 Fridays are full

This narrative is tired and untrue since ATRL stans Lana. We love slow songs when they're done right.

I don't even mind, as long as it's good as Multiply

Wait Max Martin really? :jonnycat: I guess he decided to put a bop on the album so he can push it as a single and generate more interest in the rest of the  album which will be slower/acoustic

Yeah he said he likes to put out a lead that’s totally different than the rest of the album. That makes sense for Sing, SOY & Bad Habits so I’m ready for it :jonnycat:

It feels like his last album was released not too long ago.

Ed's last album Equals '=' was released in 2021 and he's currently on his The +–=÷× Tour (pronounced the Mathematics Tour), so needs to release Subtract '-' to finish off this era while he's still touring, so it will be around 18 months between albums. Ed planned to those 5 maths titled albums back in 2010 before he released his debut studio album Plus '+' in 2011

This is so exciting, Ed never disappoints! I can’t wait to have my heart broken with these songs, I’m a sucker for sad ballads and I hope Aaron was able to remake his magic from Folklore/Evermore. I want Ed’s own Coney Island, Illicit Affairs and Tolerate It!

I will give it a listen but somehow I have this nagging feeling that the Aaron Dessner magic won’t work time :dancehall:

this is his last album with Warner
“I’m sort of in flux at the moment because this is my last album with Warner. So I don’t know what I’m doing next. In all honesty, like, yeah, I might put out a record independently. That might be quite fun. Just to try.”

Ed had a song that he really loved that was produced by Max Martin that was left off Equals '=' because it didn't  quite suit, plus had to remove a song/s so could fit album onto 1 vinyl disc. . The merch for 'Eyes Closed' is black background with just 2 yellow eyes, not cute with nature or butterflies.

I'm sure Ed hopes to have at least one song played on radio to promote album and tour, even if it's more adult contemporary and not big on pop radio type hit

do we know what that song was? wasn't it celestial? also i need that shakira song to be out like NOW
