Stabenow cleared the field for her by making it clear she wanted Slotkin as her successor. And Slotkin really wants it because she's allegedly tired of having to run tough races in a swing district every other year, so a 6-year term as an uncontested Democrat in Michigan would let her rest on her laurels and shoot down progressive policies for as long as she wants.

 

that out-of-state Twitter influencer (@umichvoter) has been pushing HARD for Slotkin too for awhile now
