Rv1709 Posted February 28, 2023 Posted February 28, 2023 Wow, Ariana barely has to try for a 1. Meanwhile, a certain music industry has to drop 1500 remixes

Meanwhile, a certain music industry has to drop 1500 remixes Yeah, there needs to be a rule that limits the number of remixes that counts towards a song's Hot 100 total. I think it should be the original plus one remix version. That would cut down on the chart manipulation gimmicks.
UnusualBoy Posted February 28, 2023 Posted February 28, 2023 Ngl, it's kinda iconic that it's been blocked by 3 songs already and with chances to be blocked by other 2 (Morgan's and BAL), has it ever happened before? lol

Those songs jumped 1-3 nd 3-1 and Bad Romance remained at #2 for so long. Longevity LOST i guess.
brianc33710 Posted February 28, 2023 Posted February 28, 2023 Die For You looks like it's peaked on airplay. Im trying to tread lightly here. But I honestly don't like either artist so I hope it's a 1 & done deal. I would rather Flowers &/or Kill Bill to stay/reach #1 instead of DFY. Last Night is a decent song, even if Wallen isn't my fav Country artist (he's not in my signature). So I hope LN can become the 1st #1 for a Country song to top the Hot 100 in over a decade. We Are Never Getting Back Together, #1 3 wks late 2012, is a stretch but I guess it does count. It bombed at Country radio so Swift swiftly (lol) released an actual Country song. Lonestar's Amazed #1 (2 wks) in 2000 & Faith Hill's Breathe was #1 for the 2000 YE H100 are actually better comparisons. Amazed was #1 for record setting 8 weeks & Breathe for 6 weeks on the Country Airplay Chart. There's been a number of #2 weakly peaks since then but no #1s for actual Country Airplay smashes for decades.
