Gen z has no lingo, almost all of these are millenial stuff.

Gen z lingo is tiktok dances.

No, most of these were popularized by Gen Z love. These terms are very consistent with the speaking of style mid/late 90s and early 2000s children.

Popularized is definitely not my metric for a term's origin but I get why.

Some of these don’t seem gen z but more twitter lingo

Posted (edited)

Copium, NPC (I see them in video game forums which are actually mostly filled with Millenials and Gen X), Simp :skull:.

Is Ratio like when you say someone was ratio-ed, as in clocked?

Does midnights refer to when something is just average or does it have another meaning in Gen Z context?

Half of these isn’t even gen z, it’s just twitch lingo. Which while I understand it, I can’t stand when people use the names of twitch emotes non-ironically when they talk.

Wait NPC is a gen-z term? I’ve known this term since I was in high school. And I’m a millennial.

I know "oomfie" is "one of my followers" but I say it in my head like how it reads like "ooohm-fee" :toofunny3:
