The breakbeat at the end should have been part of a final climactic drop. That's all the song was missing imo. I always had the feeling when the disco revival started that we'll have techno influences in pop music back soon, it just seemed natural. Like, this is straight Hands Up, I feel like it's the year 2000. Or personally speaking, it's the early 2000s and I'm listening to the new Cascada single. It feels a bit uncanny valley, but I can't say I don't like it. And I would love to hear the current mainstream's take on this sound and shine a light on classic releases from the past.
