Presidents’ Day bump? I know marvel has a lot of brand loyalty so they’re bound to do cute numbers, hope it holds up.  I’m personally going to wait for Disney+.  Their last couple movies have not been theaters worthy tbh.

It was absolutely not theater worthy. Every single line had some sort of “joke” and it was unbearable. Almost as bad as Love and Thunder with the incessant amount of jokes

Even during serious moments, they’d ruin them with jokes :skull:

Kang should've debuted in the Fantastic Four movie not a panned Ant-Man sequel (let alone part 3) of all things

What were they thinking

With the cinemascore it got I can’t say I’m surprised. This has been rejected by both critics and audience alike.

$3.8M makes anything over $31M pretty tough. I wouldn't be surprised with under $30M 2nd weekend. 70% drop incoming.

Domestic? Locked. Worldwide? Not so sure. If it does, it'll be by just a few million.

Under $500M seems like a potential outcome too.

$14.5M Wednesday. Then holidays started so stellar legs onward, but even then it held incredibly through January/February. 10 wks later, it is still #3 at the daily box office. Should collect another $5M in its 11th weekend.

Just realising no film in history has ever dropped down to a $4M Wednesday after opening to $100M+. Until now. Yikes.

If it has a bigger second week drop than BvS. :rip:

Kinda sorta fuming Angelina Jolie's Marvel film came out during pandemic because this would've been the biggest Marvel box office bomb. Justice for GODternals

Early Fri estimates.. Cocaine Bear ($8.1M) wins Friday by a sliver... Ant-Man plummets to a $7.8M 2nd Friday:rip:

$30M is not happening this weekend. 71-73% 2nd wknd drop incoming.

$500M global likely dead as well.

Not this potentially having a worse drop than Batman vs. Superman….

If that 8.1M holds then it's impossible. Ant-Man will have a jump on Saturday too big for Cocaine Bear to match. But the fact that it had taken #1 for Friday from the 2nd weekend of a $100M MCU debut is pretty impressive.

Maybe $8/7.5/5.5- $20-21M weekend for Cocaine Bear, low end $18M.

Also I think I'll give Ant-Man a very slight chance of $30M this weekend, Instead of no chance. Low-end $28.5M
