byzantium Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 The number 1 single will be As It Was the Number 1 Album will be Midnights the Number 1 Artist will be Taylor Swift. These are my predictions.

UnusualBoy Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 Hopefully Taylor takes the album and the artist chart. AIW has the song one on lock.

It will take the SPS chart too for sure Harry will be #2 Not sure about Bad Bunny because most of his points are from streams and IFPI gives more weight to pure sales. That's why he never has made the IFPI top 10 artists.
Hector Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 (edited) Luminate's Top Global Songs Of 2022 based on audio streaming: 1 Harry Styles "As It Was" 2.312 billion 2 Glass Animals "Heat Waves" 1.871 billion 3 The Kid LAROI & Justin Bieber "Stay" 1.520 billion 4 Bad Bunny & Chencho Corleone "Me Porto Bonito" 1.476 billion 5 Bad Bunny "Titi Me Pregunto" 1.360 billion 6 Imagine Dragons X JID "Enemy" 1.341 billion 7 Elton John & Dua Lipa "Cold Heart" 1.337 billion 8 The Weeknd "Save Your Tears" 1.282 billion 9 Gayle "abcdefu" 1.245 billion 10 Ed Sheeran "Shivers" 1.232 billion Expect some difference in positions with video streaming & downloads incorporated. Although they also said that Coldplay's "Hymn For The Weekend" was the most streamed song of the year globally overall (with audio & user generated content video streams included). As mentioned above, Midnights will be #1 on the overall album chart as it did more than 6 million album equivalents in 2022 according to Universal: https://www.musicweek.com/labels/read/taylor-swift-achieves-more-than-6-million-global-units-for-midnights-and-37-billion-total-streams-in-2022/087168 Taylor will be #1 on the artists chart as she did 22.4M album equivalent units overall & 36.6 billion streams in 2022 according to Universal (and I doubt BTS or Bad Bunny will be above her in that regard). Feanor Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 Artist: BTS Song: "As It Was" Album (SPS): Proof' Album (Sales): 'Proof' Album (Vinyl): 'Midnights' … will be the #1s imo.

Feanor Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 1 minute ago, Green said: Proof? How? Did it sell 6 million in Asia? It had ~4.5M global shipments in 2022, which is about as much as '30' had in 2021 and that was #1. Also depending on how their label report the streams, a lot of BTS' catalog streams could count for it too. On Spotify for example it's constantly charting in the top 10 on their albums chart, despite being a compilation album.

Didn’t it sell about 3m units in its first week worldwide?
Hector Posted February 21, 2023 Posted February 21, 2023 IT BEGINS TOMORROW Top 5 prediction: 01 Taylor 02 BTS 03 Bad Bunny 04 Harry Styles 05 Ed Sheeran
Hector Posted February 21, 2023 Posted February 21, 2023 Expect to see a good amount of K-Pop acts in the overall top 20 artists list due to strong album sales: BTS may be taking a break but it’s still HYBE’s sales leader in album-loving Korea. Four HYBE artists were in the top 10 of Korea’s year-end album tally: BTS was No. 1 with 5.75 million units, Seventeen was No. 3 with 5.56 million units, Tomorrow X Together was No. 5 with 2.78 million units and ENHYPEN was No. 8 with 2.64 million units. Le Sserafim was the No. 15 artist with 1.29 million units. https://www.billboard.com/pro/hybe-2022-results-sm-entertainment-investment/

Green Posted February 22, 2023 Posted February 22, 2023 Are the 3 charts coming today? or just the Artists chart?

Hector Posted February 22, 2023 Posted February 22, 2023 Chinese figures are added so I think Taylor will be #1. Unless BTS' pure sales units outweigh Taylor's overall consumption.
Feanor Posted February 22, 2023 Posted February 22, 2023 BTS is also massive in China iirc, so this can also be in favor of them.
