Karol mentioned this is the way Shakira is ending her Pigque era. She wanted Te felicito, Monotia, 53 and then TQG to end it. That is actually why Karol waited months to release the album....because of Shakira herself.

Also explains the end of the video and the promo at Time Square saying the reality show is over. They are done with it.

Oh. I understood wrong then, I thought we were gonna get 80% all diss tracks to that jerk.

I believe they’re saying “melao” which is something sweet, like syrup/honey/jam. I know this word is used in Colombia but maybe someone else can confirm whether it’s used in the rest of the Caribbean?

Okay Shakira now drop Copa Vacio! And give us the Bad Bunny and Rosalia collabs

nah they say "buscándome el lao'", like trying to get back to her/them.

I also thought Shakira says "mas buena mas dura mas leve" which didnt make sense at all to me but she actually says "más level" lmao

They are for sure saying "melao", even the CC on the video itself has this.

Saying el lao' in this context would be incorrect. They would need to sing "buscandome 'al lao'". Perhaps its because I grew up hearing the word "melao", so that's what I heard the first time I heard the song, and then confirmed with the lyrics on the closed captioning.

In Spotify it says "buscándome el la'o"... no idea what's correct then.

click on the music video description and you will see the lyrics. They say "buscandome el lao" lol. Genius also has the same lyrics.

We'll have to see what they say about the lyrics in interviews. Considering they say "tragadito", I can see them say "melao". I dont understand why the closed captioning would say "melao" considering its not a widely used/common word outside of Colombia and possibly the caribbean, and again, the more proper way to say "lado" in this context would be with the word "al", not "el" right before.

cause it clearly looks auto-generated. Literally half of Shakira's verse is miscaptioned lol. I mean see for yourself:

Verte con la nueva no dolió (correct lyrics: verte con la nueva me dolió)

pero yo estoy puesta pa lo mio (pero ya estoy puesta pa lo mio)

y hasta la vida me mejoró (que hasta la vida me mejoró)

por aca usted ya no es bienvenido (por aca ya no eres bienvenido)

Not yet, and the video has already received 4 million likes on YouTube, meeting the goal that Karol's team set to unlock the surprise.
