The NewsNation journalist that was arrested while DeWine was giving a press conference.

Wow, I missed that part of this mess. :deadbanana4:

Biden's EPA chief, Michael Reagan, should be ashamed of himself for this lip service.  I can guarantee you he wouldn't let his kids anywhere near East Palestine or its water.  He'll be eating his words and resigning soon enough. :ace:

Quote

When asked if he would let his children bathe in or drink the water in East Palestine, Regan said he trusts the science.

“What I would say is if those homes had been tested by the state and given a clean bill of health, yes, as a father, I trust the science,” Regan said. “I trust the methodology that the state is using, and as a parent, I would. But if those homes haven’t been tested or on private well water, I would advise that they get those homes tested and continue as Governor DeWine and the state health department have recommended using bottled water until those homes get tested.”

One journalist getting brutalized and arrested in front of other journalists has a chilling effect on journalism as a whole. It’s really not that hard to understand.

Calm down. I wanted to know if they allowed other journalists in that conference room. No need to go in depth.

He says the water is fine, but to avoid well water.  How does that make sense? :deadbanana:

I think this is about municipal water vs private well water. I don't know where East Palestine gets its municipal water from, but if they're competent, they should be testing and monitoring it regularly.

However, there's probably hundreds of private wells, and they probably don't get tested very frequently at all, so it's hard to say how safe those are.

Water from a private well is untested, untreated ground water. Water coming from the city/state will have passed through a treatment process and is being regularly tested.

If Sherrod Brown once had the slimmest of shots in winning the Senate seat, it's now gone, regardless of any hypocrisy on the subject from both parties.

This guy for anyone reading works to bust unions at Walmart and is hated on political twitter. :deadbanana4:

Every time I see a tweet from "Walmart Mike" linked I scream. So when people respond to this above tweet as the cynical PR campaigning for Pete Buttigieg as this radlib swindler meant it as (no offense to Espresso who probably has no clue who this McKinsey weirdo is), you'll know why!. Remember: "Walmart Mike".

Yeah, I didn’t, but as a general rule here I tend to go by the old retweets don’t equal endorsements tag for anyone I post here, unless it’s this glaring, so in this case my apologies. Derailments having gone down is no comfort for those affected by the ones that have.

The reason for the drop is The Railroad Safety Act of 1970. It gave the Federal Railroad Administration the power to investigate all railway accidents and prosecute railroads for negligence. Also gave whistleblower protection to railway employees who reported safety violations. Railroads had to actually fix their safety programs or suffer some severe consequences.

Wild word choice :toofunny2:

OT: What is he going to do? What can he do for these people? Him showing his face there is nothing but a PR move, it has absolutely nothing to do with support. He can't support them, he's powerless.
