Taylor fanboy Posted February 12, 2023 Posted February 12, 2023 Solar Power was amazing but I get the polarized reaction. I mean, there are people who don’t believe in climate change!
Anye Posted February 12, 2023 Posted February 12, 2023 Can’t wait. also 12 hours ago, Teneo said: Didn’t you use to post on The Lounge describing how much you liked older men to defecate on your face and that’s part of the reason this forum lost ad revenue and had to resort to a private section? Please focus on that and leave us alone to discuss Lorde’s music
Letemtalk Posted February 12, 2023 Posted February 12, 2023 This thread took an unexpected turn. 17 hours ago, Kayseri Mantisi said: Surely, she’ll rule out 2023 at least, for when we can expect new material – but no, she’s keeping hope alive. “Anything could happen. Let’s see!” New material might not mean an entire album, but I'm hoping she will come through with something before the end of the year. 17 hours ago, conquxror said: this sort of confirms jack is not involved right? they were touring at the same time and she hasn’t been around his little group of artists anymore It might depend on whether you count Phoebe Bridgers and Clairo as part of that group. 16 hours ago, conquxror said: she talked about wanting to release music faster before solar power dropped Wish I could find all of the old interviews. There was one where she said she wanted to release 10 albums in her music career and then said she realised she's going to need to release more often than once every four years. 12 hours ago, conquxror said: the lack of taste… his music is so good Reveal hidden contents it’s either him or jack antonoff you choose

I've always been curious about what a Kanye produced album would be like in theory yes but he’s difficult to work with and they would probably clash on the music choices. he delayed both Madonna and Rihanna’s albums by 6 months at least with his messiness.
Raptus Posted February 12, 2023 Posted February 12, 2023 Commercially she's done so I hope she will go in very experimental direction. We are yet to hear what adult Lorde music sounds like (Solar Power was her pothead era)
80x100 Posted February 12, 2023 Posted February 12, 2023 i would rather lorde songs produced by her own than produced by jack
black swan Posted February 12, 2023 Posted February 12, 2023 absolutely excited for this, I wasn't expecting other hints at new music so soon imo she WILL release something that's massively different from solar power not just because she has hinted at pop bangers, but especially because she is aware of the negative reception solar power had and seemed "hurt" by fans' reactions in most interviews (and also a mail iirc). so far she has released diverse records that were coherent sound, theme, visually wise (even though I don't go back to SP often) and I see L4 being nothing alike the first three ones; maybe for lyrics only? I mean her overall being happier and more relaxed and free as opposed to her previous music. but still, definitely something new considering the dev hynes possibility
truthteller Posted February 12, 2023 Posted February 12, 2023 is she gonna lock jack antonoff in the studio again
conquxror Posted February 12, 2023 Posted February 12, 2023 2 hours ago, truthteller said: is she gonna lock jack antonoff in the studio again it doesn’t look like it. she’s been producing the album in between breaks from her tour and jack was also touring with bleachers with incompatible schedules. i don’t know how that could happen. idk why but i have this feeling that they’re not on good terms after the whole stoned at the nail salon/wild at heart situation. he BARELY acknowledged solar power’s anniversary. it also seems like she’s been excluded from jack’s little group if i’m being honest. she was spotted several times in nyc with dev hynes and she’s been talking a lot about his little exclusive group on her newsletter updates (for example, she recommended empress of, caroline polachek…). also, i def see her going for a more alt sound after she’s been hanging with caroline and charli — producer jim-e stack also opened for her tour so i wouldn’t be surprised to see him on the album somehow.

Betty White Posted February 12, 2023 Posted February 12, 2023 I'm confused cause all she said was that everything is possible which doesn't really sound like we're getting it this year

Yeah it's a shame it probably won't happen now but they did work together on the Flicker rework and I feel like they had other plans that didn't end up materializing

modeblock Posted February 13, 2023 Posted February 13, 2023 (edited) dev Hynes >>>>>>>> hack antonofflop, they're gonna make magic together he'll help bring her out of her horse girl era she's looks HOT with the dark roots + blonde Edited February 13, 2023 by modeblock

Frozen99 Posted February 13, 2023 Posted February 13, 2023 i liked solar power but she def shouldn't take another 4 years break, and leave antonoff alone.
pitysmith Posted February 13, 2023 Posted February 13, 2023 Seriously, she should work with Blake Mills. SP would have been better executed if she collaborated with someone with better range.
nick4bty Posted February 13, 2023 Posted February 13, 2023 @Teneo is a fraud He used to pretend to have Gaga tea in the Gaga base like 10 years ago How do you not grow up in 10 years? lmao Anyways, she said she's pretty sure it's not going to be 2013. Regardless, I'm excited. Solar Power was still good albeit a step down from her previous albums. I hope she comes back in good form.

If we have learnt anything from Lorde's three albums so far, it's that she isn't likely to repeat her last album.
