It was over extremely cold waters. They needed to first go up and see what it was and then needed it to come down and land in an area where they could retrieve it.

I find it so odd the past two years we went from uncertainty to the government being open with previously classified documents about UFOs. It seems like so much is escalating and there’s more sightings than ever. I don’t know if they’re trying to ease us and trying to prevent a shock… but 

it could be aliens, it could be secret military tech from other countries or our own.. idk.

They didn't shot it down in the middle of America because they don't want debris to fall on the public.

Why are there no clear photos of these objects.   It’s 2023 we as a society have amazing cameras, even a door bell camera can produce HD content these days.  
 

As much as I would love an alien invasion I don’t think governments are 100% truthful.  They tend to exaggerate things.
