reactions on Twitter: "nina bo'nina brown youtube video thumbnails well it's over well it's just started https://t.co/QMYyFmgfWn" / Twitter

the chorus seems a little weak right now

but maybe it has earworm potential?

the rest of it is cute though :penguin:

A bop. Not very different from Screen Violence, but less dark. Loved it.

I like it! A bit repetitive, but definitely the CHVRCHES i like :gaycat2:

Do we know if this is a droplet or leading up to a new album?

I like it!

Huge fan of them but this is too repetitive in a way is annoying.

This one sounds straight out of Love Is Dead which is their weakest album.

“Over” dates back to 2017

we can tell

It has their classic sound to it but that's it, doesn't bring anything new or that exciting for me. It's still a bop so I'll be playing it, I'm just afraid it'll get old quickly.

most of the singles of Screen Violence are probably the worst songs I've ever heard and the album is my favourite thing ever..

their choruses are just so lazy nowadays

Love is Dead sweetie… shockingly I’d say their second album is the weakest but I still like it.

Over definitely needed a stronger chorus. Hoping for a grower!

it’s cute but not strong enough to be a single more of an album track… but i could see this growing on me.

I guess screen violence was a fluke.

It's cute, nothing impressive but that's always the case for their first singles.

Listened to "Every Open Eye" today.

They used to have so much more esprit back then.

They got a radio deal:

i was the first one to drag them for this but they pretty much explained that this is a droplet to kickstart their major label journey and promote their upcoming shows etc. and they pulled this one from the Love Is Dead sessions (2017) so ofc it sounds mediocre af :skull: i still have trust in them that they will put out another screen violence like masterpiece but i think them going major label might mean we get more mainstream leaning singles here and there. they should figure out how to go viral on tiktok quick if they want mainstream success

I really like the song and the video is cute too, my only complaint would be that it could fit right into Screen Violence, not that that's necessarily a bad thing

Every album always has that one track I stream non-stop: Tether, Clearest Blue, Get Out and Asking for a Friend.

Excited to hear the next one :wanda:

YOOOO taste! these are my favs of each album as well :clap3:

It has Love Is Dead written all over it, is it an outtake from that album?
