I saw a tweet last night that said the areas most affected are full of Syrian refugees, some of which dont even have IDs and the building codes may not be the best. Sadly current death tolls are large underestimations :chick3:

Do you know if any of the websites have a layout that’s in English? My phone doesn’t support translating the webpage for the first link, so I’m not sure where I should put my card information

This is so sad and scary, especially knowing that the death toll will continue to rise as the cold sets in.

My heart goes out to everyone in Turkey.

This is a nightmare. It's so sad that it happened at 4am local time too, when a lot of people were asleep and couldn't react as fast to either evacuate or get under sturdy furniture.

Obviously, RIP to everyone in Turkey and Syria. :chick3: Hopefully this pushes both governments (Syria... sigh) to pass laws that force structural renovations for old buildings.

Given the situation in Syria, this will probably be an undercount for months if not longer.

Unfortunately it’s getting worse... This is extremely horrible to watch and for everyone who is infected with it... I really hope the world will provide more help in situation.
