MNET ain't slick at all... I'm absolutely sure they did this on purpose for koreans to see the global picks in the top and stop voting for them and putting the koreans on the lower spots (including a top pick like Gyuvin) to boost their votes, the same formula every time come ON

Most of the people that are invited for the onsite voting are already stans and they heavily skew towards k-trainees(and they vote mostly cause of visuals) they are literally asked who they are a fan of before they are allowed to vote. Also during the spoilers for the performances alot of people said that everyone was screaming so loud that they really couldn't hear much so they props didn't catch his off beat shenanigans :deadbanana2:

On the topic of Matthew i actually heavily empathize with him, Shanbin was being cowardly and wasn't acting like a proper leader and being honest/direct, it was very weaselly of him. Jiwoong said what they were all thinking but i also think its really unfair for Matthew cause he obviously got that position fair and square while Seungeon himself isnt that good a vocalist either, man had a billion mistakes. Matthew sadly was very stressed from what we could see and spoke as westerners do on their real emotions and got caught up in mnets demonic edits. Its been like that for Matthews bts footage cause being from a different culture he naturally speaks in a way that can easily be manipulated, you can see with all the trainees. Ricky, Zhanghao, Haruto, Jay and lowkey Zihao are the only ones doing it right cause they are playing by these Korean producers rules and never getting out of line cause they know the consequences, for zihao they mostly just don't want that man and he is not giving them material to villanize so no screentime for him at all, Ricky is extremely dead faced and knows by how he looks at the cameras when they come close and Zhanghao/Haruto/Jay continually easily give up their wanted positions to korean/other trainees so they won't be evil edited. Matthew is unfortunately just too naive, coupled with him having a strong base that could threaten a k-trainee's spot mnet will naturally pounce.

Supercharger was unexpectedly good, but the stage design / concept for En Garde was kinda lacking. :chick3:

SEATED for Over Me next week. And it's about damn time people are starting to wake up because Gyuvin ain't it :gaycat5:

Am I the only one or they added some changes in the instrumental of Switch? The song improved imo :celestial5:

Switch has always been a bop I fear

The only song I don’t like is En Garde… I really can’t stand it for some reason (probably Hui) :deadbanana4:

Not you saying Seungeon isn't a good singer. :deadbanana2:

He's not perfect but he's definitely way better than Matthew. I dare him to try attempting the main vocal parts in Seventeen songs... If anything Seungeon seemed more like the main vocal than Hanbin especially since he got the high notes and all that.

Yes it sucks for Matthew to lose his preferred part but even he knew how good of a vocalist Seungeon was. It sucks but just like in actual kpop groups, not everyone is going to be happy with their parts but they have to put up with it for the groups sake.

I would much rather have Seungeon as the main vocal rather than the more likely Taerae (don't get the hype for that man but seems pretty popular in Korea so probably locked to debut). If Seungeon wasn't from Yuehua, Mnet would probably push him more. He has the classic kpop "main vocalist" sounding voice.

If I'm being honest, I kind of hope the final group gets 2 of Taerae/Jay/Seungeon. It would be nice for a group to have two main vocalist contenders, especially when so many 4th gen groups barely had one. However, I know it's probably not going to happen. I do agree that out of the three Seungeon is the most classic Kpop main vocal, while Taerae is a bit deeper and Jay has more of an R&B feel

I feel like Taerae is going to be in the final lineup, knowing he has a lot of Korean fans. Jay will be a challenge though because Jay has mostly global fans to root for him and the voting is 50-50. Ntm that this will be a 5th gen boy group by the way.

Oh yeah, Taerae is definitely going to be in. I just wish Jay/Seungeon could join him
