would you return to the sound of the album that almost prematurely ended your career? :cm:

Why did it almost ruin her career? It seem to helped her. Nobody knew who she was until this era.

It just went up from there! Ppl give the credit to the following album but it was Glasshouse that truly started it all!

Freak Me Now is actually my least favourite, but it´s still so good :deadbanana:

How is she losing the #1 to an indie pop band? I don't Jessie promoted enough this week.

We got an acoustic performance of Hello Love on some breakfast show and that's it I think?

Easily one of the best albums this year.

Surely we're due a Jacques Lu Cont remix or two during this era.

Beautiful People alone definitely needs an extended mix.

Anyone have any info on the SG Lewis remix she teased?

Dunno if anyone else went to the album signing in Manchester but she was sooooo lovely!

I’d argue that “Imagine It Was Us” and “Aaliyah” (the Katy B collab) from the Devotion era were our first hints that Jessie had what it took to be a dance/house/disco diva.

I can agree with this.

She started out singing on House and UK Garage beats so she was originally a dance artist.  Her debut was like a blend of that and soulful vocals / Sade vibes.  I think she veered more ballady / AC with tough love but the Ed Sheeran collab definitely made glasshouse go full AC and it hurt her a lot.  She was always cool and hip but that time she felt corny.

Her label definitely wanted to position her more in that Adele/Ed Sheeran/Emeli Sande/Paloma Faith lane because that was what was doing well there at the time.

I can’t with the vast pool of references that can be found in each and every track. True and authentic musical genius! :jonny3:

On the topic, it's kinda a crime she isn't performing Imagine It Was Us on the modern tours and we very much need Aaliyah joint performance too, Katy doesn't have anything better to do anyway

A #4 debut… oh yeah we’re definitely not getting a deluxe

Is the deluxe confirmed?

I don't get why she won't? Almost positive she knows it's universally loved?

We need Mr. Obama to put Shake The Bottle on his music list so she gets the awareness again and releases a deluxe :jonnycat:

Does she? When I saw her last year post Free Yourself release she actually skipped Say You Love Me but her Devotion album track pick was If You’re Never Gonna Move

She has mentioned it several times, there are plans but it's not confirmed, plus ALL her albums have Deluxe edition
