They weren't safe, vaccine mandates were evil, the government!! They would turn you into cows. Instead one of the world's most terrible diseases was completely eradicated. Two years ago when we had incomplete/false information about the vaccines' effectiveness and ability to stop transmission, there was some justification for the "get vaccinated or else you're a horrible person and killing people!" routine. Now we know that someone's personal vaccination status does not impact anyone but themselves. We are also now aware of the extent of the serious adverse effects, complications and deaths associated with the vaccines. There are plenty of reasons to criticize Pfizer; their covid-19 vaccine is not one of them. I never said that covid can't result in serious outcomes and deaths, everyone that's sane knows that it can and does. The data on adverse vaccine reactions is public and available for anyone to read. They appear to be rare, but we are still very early in the timeline, it will take years for the full picture to take shape.
