They need to sort out the voting in general, you can't make 3/4 precursors then be shot down. they should make the voting be in stages maybe.

She stole a nomination from a hardworking black woman and we hope the Academy fixes that

Good, although this is probably lip service more than anything so they look like they care. Yes Hollywood is about nepotism but this is as blatant as it gets.

B-but Kate Winslet said it was the best acting performance of ALL TIME!!!

Does this mean that she lied?!

the fuzz made about this is so ******* ridiculous and over the top. people forget that the Oscars are just rich people jerking each other off, it was never fair, it was never real. if anything, her campaign is more transparent than studios paying for huge promotion campaigns and lavish dinner parties to win votes. move the **** on.

This is really stupid, tbh. As if she has more power and influence than those studios that spend millions on their campaigns. Plus, everyone else probably does what she did as well, it just doesn’t attract attention when you’ve hit precursors and you’re considered to be competing.

It’s giving BuT hEr EmAiLs.

That's not the problem :deadbanana2: Actors have been snubbed in the past after making it to all the precursors, after all they are different awards and the academy can vote for whoever they want instead of been sheep and voting all the same nominees of the precursors.

They problem is about Andrea's campaign where some voters were openly telling other voters to rank other nominees lower because they were locks and to put Andrea #1.

Exactly. Her film made like $27,000. She was not widely known and yet worked hard to get her film seen and supported by others in the industry. Viola (a 4x time nominee, in a film that cost $50 million + big promotional budget) couldn't get the support for her film to get any nominations (even with her large number of Hollywood friends). Maybe Andrea just had the better performance and film?
